OG, believe the propaganda if you like. All multinationals know very well how to move profit. The losers in all this are the local governments, never the multis.
At last! That is precisely the point! It is the loss of tax revenues that causes us the problem, isn't it?
Not the profit that isn't likely to come to this country either, any more than anywhere else, it will end up in some offshore tax haven anyway.

our banks still pay CT here. What I am saying is the potential loss of bank passporting is oversold by remainers. Deals can still be done in London and booked in Dublin. The banks aren't panicking.
The bigger losers are the corporate lawyers.

To throw a spanner in the works.
Close relative, 'family clever clogs' as we call him
Grammar School, Oxford, Civil Service says that the back stairs whisper is 'Depopulation'
The European and American Elites have realised, that as history only too well shows, large population shifts mean big trouble.
The huge demands for relocation from Africa and Asia, once welcomed by the globalists are now seen to threaten the same elites.
As oldtom warns, racism and xenophobia is on the rise.
All encouraged to make the UK and US less desirable.
Other European countries are already lined up....Holland, France, Austria.
Trump, Farage, Johnson Le Pen, Wilders are just useful pawns in the great game.

Nice one Mike, introduce a Conspiracy theory with the caveat it is someone else's?
So what is Your opinion on it?

The problem with that theory, is that most of the country, where there are immigrants doesn't have a problem with them.

So any immigrants already here will on the whole not be experiencing any problems so will be telling their compatriots there are no issues, don't believe the media (where have I heard that before). The places with the biggest populations of xenophobes and where UKIP are at their strongest are the places where there are no immigrants anyway, and not likely to be any.

No comment is the usual reply.
If you don't like it, then ignore it. I just thought that you would like to know.
No comment? but you made one by posting it!
There are lots of theories about of course, and some are even weirder than that.
I mean some people actually voted for Brexit, honestly I kid you not, they really did!
And they still think it was a good idea!!!
Astonishing!
PS: don't you know when you are being teased?

We had a nut case forever coming up with 'alternative facts' on a wargame forum I frequent. An odd upbringing under a high achieving dominant father, a job for a few years in the industrial military complex imagining the worst things the Soviets were up to, and a few too many bangs to the head later in life seemed to be responsible for his paranoid ramblings, His name gave rise to a whole new word on an internet dictionary site.

Kettlerian

Relating to or evocative of, the random conspiracy theories of John Kettler, a contributor to various UFO and Atlantis fan magazines. In every mundane military story, there is a alien tesla particle weapon, and in every political expose, there is a reptiloid alien shape shifter infiltration, in every WWII epic, there lurk Nazi UFOs.

My internet buddy Fred came up with a Kettlerian conspiracy that former US president Bill Clinton was really a reptile shape-shifter, assuming human form to rule the world.

the phrase Kettlerian refers to, among other things, drawing unsupportable conclusions from tenuous connections and flimsy or non-existant linkages.)

I don't know why you find it necessary to use the word xenophobe in the same sentence as UKIP, perhaps it's because you are a fool? Anyway, that aside, Lincolnshire has a very high population of immigrants and UKIP are currently the second most popular party in British politics in some areas of that county.

These Lincolnshire people aren't xenophobes, they have no dislike or hatred of foreign people, they are simply concerned that the population in their towns and villages is growing in an uncontrolled manner. The infrastructure and services have not kept pace. This is not the fault of the foreign nationals who have moved there, they are simply hard working and industrious people doing what they are allowed to do under EU rules. No one blames them, they blame the EU's free movement of people principle and what they perceive as no plan or investment to match the population rise. That is what they are angry about and have no malice with foreign nationals. Schools are overwhelmed and this inevitably affects the quality of the education children receive in these areas. The same principle applies to other services, the more people using a service without the appropriate investment results in a quality reduction.

It is right that people affected by an increase in population in their local area can speak of their concerns without being labled a xenophobe by an ignorant idiot such as you. It is the poorly informed statements and the ignorance which is on display from you that makes people believe their concerns are not being listened to. People need to be engaged with, encouraged to share their concerns and offered explanations or solutions. The last thing that they need is a jumped up idiot bicycle man with his head up his backside insulting them.

Then perhaps if you believe that you will stop insulting KTM Dave, as you are after all describing yourself using such insults.
Do try to keep that temper under control tillson.
Your post didn't need the insults, it was clear enough.

Lincolnshire on average has 10% immigrants
Boston is higher at 15%
From a Guardian article
"
Local Tory councillor Mike Gilbert, responsible for housing, population and communities, says the biggest challenge posed by the wave of immigration is "the perception of the disadvantages of immigration". In other words, the misconceptions: particularly the notion "they come over here and take our jobs". As local Tory MP Mark Simmonds pointed out earlier this year, there are about 1,300 unemployed people in Boston: "If we got rid of 10,000 migrants, who would do the work?"
"It's not true to say there are no jobs," said Kasia Augustu, a Polish careworker enjoying "Polski Smak" (roast pork with Silesian dumplings) at U Anu restaurant on Boston high street. "If you want a job, you will get one. The problem with English people is they can't keep the job. They take too many sick days and find it easier to take benefits rather than work."
"
Simmonds also noted that while it was true the population increase had put pressure on local services, it had brought unexpected benefits. "The maternity unit at Pilgrim hospital would not be viable without migrant births [nearly 40%]," he said.

Most immigrants in the town said they were planning to stay long term. Former IT worker Emilia Tenea opened a shop stocking Romanian products to cater for the few hundred of her compatriots who have arrived in the town since Romania and Bulgaria joined the EU in 2008. She is banking on a steady increase in custom – which is likely when Romanians gain the right to live and work unrestricted in the UK from 2014. Business was already brisk, as homesick Transylvanians picking sprouts on the farms popped in for spicy sausages and Kalnapilis beer. She had no plans to leave. "I love it here. When I made my first steps off the plane, I said, 'I'm home'."

It's hard to resist the obvious conclusion that the change is resisted out of a wish that change can simply be avoided and not accepted.
How disappointing therefore that from the thousands of houses the Government has plans to build for the many thousands of immigrants they intend to let in (allegedly under their control)
The good citizens of Lincolnshire will simply have to grin and bear the change that the Government is going to impose on them in any case.
So much for Brexit giving control back to the people
"Bigly!" as Trump might say

very likely.

It will though. The people who voted for brexit will likely be the same who will kick the tories out when they fail to deliver 'bigly'.

hahaha, 1/10 for ranting there. You do realise I used the word "AND" didn't I. So just because they are in the same sentence doesn't mean they are one in the same thing. I'm sure in some cases they are, but I was clear.

Its just like a football stadium can contain hooligans and Cheltenham Town fans. (I've used Cheltenham because my parents are season tick holders).

So yes, I'm afraid 1/10 for ranting and 1/10 for reading too.

So what do you think will happen when they fail to deliver.... who will they vote for, and how will that new choice deliver something that is going to prove to be impossible??

Growing the economy and therefore public service spend without using immigrant labour to power the growth.

Take my post as a rant if you wish, I do not have an issue with that. To make accusations of ranting is the usual fall back position for people such as you.

Your sentence in the original post does not read in the same way as your example regarding the football stadium. There is no parallel to be drawn.

I'm sure there is an outreach community project for people with poor writing skills in your area. Perhaps you should look them up?

1/10 from an idiot of zero consequence to me? Boo hoo.

Trump's people put out this:

16463545_10155030371946953_2107433217239072422_o.jpg

A woman who was in Paris at the time said this:

Dear Mr Trump,

thank you for your concern.

A man has indeed attacked a soldier with two machetes this morning in Paris.

It wasn't in the Louvre Museum, it was in the Carrousel du Louvre, which is a mall. (Less symbolic than what you're implying.)

He didn't attack any tourist (or french people -apart from the soldier- either, by the way, thank you again for your concern) and he was instantly attacked back by another soldier, and wounded.

The crowd has been kept inside after that by order of the army for security reasons, but not for any kind of hostage situation. (Your tweet is -voluntarily?- ambiguous)

France is not on edge again, at all. I learnt about the attack 10 hours after it happened (even though it was in the media earlier), and I spent 1h30 in another mall in Paris at lunch today without any kind of military reinforcement (I mean, just the usual since Charlie Hebdo or nov 2015 attacks).

Oh and by the way, the man is from Egypt, you know, the country you didn't ban from entering the US (because of your personnal affairs?)

Again, thank you for your concern, but don't use France as an excuse for your arseholery. You're the one encouraging fear with your distortion of truth.

Regards,

Egie Wild

PS : GET SMART U.S. : Don't believe anything that he says without checking facts first.

You decide which version you prefer.

Tom
