It's always wise to hedge your bets, what he should have said was
"I'm an Atheist, Thank God!"
That ticks all the boxes, no? :)
Absolutely. Imagine popping off only to find Theresa May waiting for you, clad in her leather trousers. It's too late to to do anything about it then.

Except perhaps for falling back on the old Navajo Indian trick of Screaming and begging.

And what this one reveals is a rising level of distress among the people sampled, which however way you look at it makes the situation even more unstable in Political terms.

To me Brexit appears to be like being Press Ganged onto a sinking ship under the command of Captain Bligh, where there are no good choices, the best hope is to beach the boat before that happens, and either abandon it, or attempt repairs and await the next tide, to sail away in a known to be unreliable leaky hull, which you won't get insurance on anyway so can't use as a Coffin Ship.
;)
A good analogy

Get a "Coolboard". I was very sceptical about claimed benefits but having used one regularly past 6 months been quite amazed at benefits.
Its sort of a scateboard without wheels, you balance on it on a ball ( varying in hardness, harder as you become proficient)
Exercises knees, ankles, thighs and core with zero impact..
Gi straight for balance ball ( middle) dont bother with inflatable ball. Its too easy.
Was part of my rehab after ankle op.
( ask your physio about them)

See! I've been living in the EU too long, my spelling has gone to the dogs!

The spelling whiskey is common in Ireland and the United States, while whisky is used in all other whisky producing countries.

Or I have been communicating with too many Americans? Or Irish?

Its all ok!

The NHS will be saved, all the hard working economic EU migrants who by definition come here to work, will be leaving, or put off coming... and in return we get back all the pensioners who are currently enjoying the benefits or retirement in Spain.

What could possibly go wrong?

Thanks for that advice, I'll ask her opinion. The physio reckons the injury could be caused by bad running posture. She's also a running coach, so most of the work we are doing is based around improving core strength and altering my running style. Neither is easy having run a certain way for many years. She reckons the ankle will heal itself and the other exercises will prevent a reoccurrence. I have a lot of faith in physiotherapy, so I'm hopeful.

Thanks again and I'll look into your suggestion.

"
CUTTING IT FINE
David Davis reveals that there will be NO Brexit plan until February at the earliest, leaving MPs little time to scrutinise it
The Brexit Secretary said that plans for leaving the EU would not be released next month as there was still a lot of work to do on it"

The Bad news is it will be February 2018, as they haven't figured out yet how to get out of the EU while staying in.
But give the appearance of having left the EU
Is there an Escapologist in the house? or better still a illusionist?

It appears he has had a brainwave:
"
'DO EU DEAL OR BIZ OFF'
Brexit Secretary David Davis threatens to take billions in business from EU if it refuses Britain good exit deal
David Davis would slash tax and red tape to persuade hundreds of companies to relocate to the UK from their bases across Europe"

Baldric in Blackadder had better cunning plans than that! and it may need a bit of "polishing round the edges" to hit the spot with what little industry and commerce we still have, but Nissan won't mind of course, as their profits are guaranteed.

One minor point has occurred to me: if these businesses are to come here and pay little or no tax, what do we want them for?

The point about a common market is to reduce red tape and bureaucracy . I can recall the days before the common custom area with lorries piled miles long along the road and specialised agents waiting their turns at border posts, noting that it was a monumental waste of people's time and resources.

Ah but there's lots of internal red tape like safety assessments and protection for workers that can be slashed. Along with the right to withdraw your labour.

Ps keep getting better tilson

Throughout all of this damaging campaign, the one thing that really bothers me is seeing just what these pro Brexit Politicians are expecting to gain financially themselves, and how they will bring off the "Heist" of the Century.

They have had the benefit of the best Education money can buy, and if it has any value at all, applying it to the notion that this country can achieve a miraculous transformation at no cost to the public and become a world leader, must return the answer that there is no hope whatsoever of that happening.
So what swindle are they working?

Where is the financial benefit for them, or from whom, in return for what service?
There is a definite smell of Rodent about the whole sordid affair.
I.M.H.O.

And all the other improvements that the Torys will erode in short order!
And let's not forget that lower Business Taxes reduce the quality of services to the public, but the Bonus from the Tory point of view is that is more money going into the pocket of the investors as higher dividends.
Rob the poor, pay the money to the rich.
So much for taking back Control, eh?

From the Beeb
"
A post-Brexit UK-EU trade deal might take 10 years to finalise and still fail, Britain's ambassador to the EU has privately told the government.

The BBC understands Sir Ivan Rogers warned ministers that the European consensus was that a deal might not be done until the early to mid-2020s.

He also cautioned that an agreement could be rejected ultimately by other EU members' national parliaments.

No 10 expressed confidence in reaching a deal to suit the UK and the EU.

In October, Sir Ivan, who conducted David Cameron's negotiation over the UK's relationship with the EU, advised ministers that the view of the 27 other countries was that a free trade agreement could take as long as a decade.

He said that even once concluded, the deal might not survive the process of ratification, which involves every country having to approve the deal in its own parliament."
"
Downing Street said it did not recognise the views expressed by the diplomat.

Sources have suggested he was relaying other EU members' views, rather than his own or the British government's."

Perhaps someone ought to point out that is is in fact their views not ours that are the Pertinent ones?
