If its correct / legal / the right thing for current High Court Judges to have decision to make why on earth should it have to be responsibility of an individual ( Gina Miller in this case) to get case to court??
It has to be the action of an individual, whether solo or acting for an organisation. I have experience of this having done it on behalf of the company I was working for at the time. The action has to be triggered by a person. In Gina Miller's case she is the lead challenger acting for a group of individuals of like mind

A judge or judges cannot do it, since the very act of them raising a complaint would be an admission of bias, which cannot happen for a judge.

What's your evidence for that Tom. My (Female) bank manager has an IQ of 145 ( member of mensa and a good friend) voted leave. My wife ( also a member if mensa) has an IQ of 142 ( scored on Mensa tests last 4 occasions) voted leave. Not sure but,I,d guess Peter Hargreaves will be circa,140 IQ and voted leave. They are all very well travelled as well. Only a small sample but you get my drift.
How did you get so angry ??

Besides which, court rooms aren't designed to hold 16.1 million people.

It being the case does not justify it Flecc. I believe Gina Miller has had death threats. Absolute madness. The whole process, beginning to its end ( if it does end) is not fit for purpose.

Notice that Theresa May is currently on a diplomatic tour to Bahrain....surprised she is away on Opposition Day in the Commons and the Supreme Court case.
Wasn't she away in India the last time the Commons had an opposition day.
She seems to be away every time there is possible flac at home.

Speaking of Lawyers...
"The number of British lawyers registering in Ireland is set to be 10 times higher this year than in 2015 as they seek to ensure they can still practise in the European Union after Brexit, the Law Society of Ireland said on Monday.

The five major London firms often called the "magic circle" were among the highest sources of applicants, as they secured additional jurisdictional status, primarily for anti-trust, competition and trade lawyers.

"The tsunami of new solicitors has been caused by Brexit-driven transfer decisions," Law Society of Ireland Director General Ken Murphy said in a statement.

"The single word that dominates all assessments of the potential impact of Brexit is 'uncertainty'."

The Law Society said a record 810 England and Wales-qualified lawyers will be admitted by the end of the year compared to a total of 70 last year, following a surge that began even before Britain voted to leave the EU in June."
Now OG knows there are two types of people, evidenced by the sense v nonsense witnessed in this thread. Obviously, the sense comes from the 'Remain' camp!

OG will also have some empathy with this statement:

The version round here is as follows

There are Three Types of people in this World
Yorkshiremen,
People who aspire to be Yorkshiremen
And people with no Ambition.

I Say! how disturbing for the poor woman
"
The Brexit Judgment: Theresa May facing Tory rebellion over Article 50 plan this week as Government takes fight to Supreme Court"

The Conservatives are Revolting!
I have to confess being puzzled that this is on the Front page of the Telegraph, which means it is considered "News"

But even more Fantastic is the next part.

Britain’s foremost judges were warned today that they will make the EU referendum result “legally irrelevant” if they uphold a High Court ruling that Brexit can only be triggered by a vote in Parliament.

So in the Governments view "Advisory" equals "Legally binding" because they say so?
Well isn't it nice to see someone taking back control (pity that they are confirming that they rule by proclamation and ignore the very law itself though)
And the supreme irony? the fact that the bill introduing Act authorising the Referendum is Advisory only was written by None other than Davis himself.
And last joke of all , the leave supporters aren't asking him why he didn't publicise that fact and blame the remain side for not doing so instead!
:D

I know a gross of people with an IQ of 144.
It could happen to anyone, you have my sympathy, strangely all of my friends are dead (except two) though sometimes it gets hard to tell, with them, and of course I stay in touch with the others.
Some of them suffered from high intelligence too, but had far too much wisdom to admit that in public, as it can ruin a person's reputation.
They subscribed to the theory that if God had intended mankind to think, he wouldn't have started off putting us up in trees.
