Permission to come aboard Tom?
Assuming the answer was yes, I have to confess to a deplorable failure of mine to place close enough attention to the posting you refer to as I didn't perceive any part of it to qualify it as "the ravings of a lunatic" even compared to my humble efforts it lacked a certain cachet, and you were over generous in your praise.
But with work, and the astonishing fact that by his own admission "I can read" uniquely qualifies him to progress, he will go far.
By the way "opinionated" also seems a loose fit, would "contradictory, "confusing" or indeed "Bizarre" not fit better?
I.M.H.O etc.
"offensive language"? was it really necessary to prove my point so clearly?
Remember the old saying"Better to let people think you a fool, etc"

Is this correct or a normal Boris lie.
It might be true, sometimes it can just slip out.

Hows this for spin?
The Express headline
"
You don't understand Brexit!' Andrew Neil DESTROYS Nick Clegg in car-crash interview"

And what actually happened? far from DESTROYING Nick Clegg he did point out that what Nick Clegg proposed was effectively remaining in the EU.

No Car Crash, no destruction, Neil accurately described what Nick Clegg was proposing, that's all there was to it.

And Neill was wrong on the point that Nick Clegg didn't understand Brexit.
the problem really is that he understood it to be a stupid idea and proposed what he thought was a better one.

Anyone would imagine there is some law that says it is illegal to oppose a majority decision in an advisory only referendum.

I thought Boris was embarrassing on Andrew Marr this morning . Keir Starmer held his patience against Boris who came over as a loud, uninformed blubbering idiot, spent the whole interview filibustering.
If I was Keir Starmer I would have pointed out to Boris that a skill of being foreign secretary is knowing when to shut up and listen,Boris hasn't learnt that diplomatic skill yet, will he ever?

At Last I can say "Well done Nigel Farage!"

"The defeated Hofer said his loss was “really very painful ... but the voter is always right in a democracy.” He also criticised an intervention by Nigel Farage, the former Ukip leader, as having contributed to the party’s defeat."
"Pointing out that an overwhelming majority of Austrians support EU membership, Hofer described the Ukip figurehead’s comments as “a crass misjudgement”, adding: “It doesn’t fill me with joy when someone meddles from outside.”

Big in Europe is Nigel,(or so he led himself to believe) if he keeps this up he will get to Boris's level of diplomatic incompetence soon.
Lord Nigel appears to be the "kiss of Death" for any cause he blights with his unwanted support.
What a supreme irony that his interference urinated on the bonfire of hopes of there being a Referendum on leaving the EU in another country!
I shed a tear for the Editorial staff of the Mail and Telegraph after their "Doom of the EU" predictions.
Once again I find myself laughing hysterically
:D:D:D
Sorry tillson, really I am.
:D:D:D

If I may misquote Abraham Lincoln and describe Lord Nigel's efforts
"There goes a man who can snatch defeat for his Friends from the very jaws of Victory!"

No, Dave.

I'm afraid the people of Uxbridge and South Ruislip demonstrated how stupid tory supporters are when they voted for the this retard following the retirement of local bigwig, John Randall last year. Had Mickey Mouse been the preferred candidate for that constituency, then the same Mickey Mouse would probably have risen to be PM by now.:D

Johnson really is the consummate upper-class twat and has shown little talent for any political role so far. His stint as Mayor for London will be remembered for nothing of any consequence and it is most unkind that the tory media described the hire bikes in the city as 'Boris Bikes' when, in fact, Ken Livingstone was the Mayor responsible for promoting and initiating the TfL bike hire scheme in 2007. Johnson just happened to be Mayor when the plan came to fruition.

Johnson simply saw the Mayor for London role as a vehicle on which he could remain in the limelight, enjoy a few foreign jollies as a celebrity, do nothing of any consequence while criticising bits and pieces of tory government policy with no fear of any comeback from the whips - the ideal promotional vehicle for a talentless buffoon. Livingstone, his predecessor, actually cared about London and its people.

Sadly, while many of us learn from experience and become a little wiser with age, Johnson is not one because this applies:

In the case of the present political situation may I suggest substitution of the word "Do" for "learn"
I.M.H.O of course.

There appears to be a desire in the Express to conflate the Italian Referendum somehow with an Italian wish to leave the EU.
Can anyone explain why this is their "take" on the situation, looking at the Political situation and relative party strengths in Italy, for the life of me I cannot see how they reach this conclusion.

Interestingly our posts crossed as I asked the question why would anyone reach that very conclusion, the issues are entirely separate and unconnected as far as I can see

Because Rinzi was the voice of reason. ( He was trying to increase his power and reduce that of Senate)Far right stand a good chance of gaining far more control, they are asking for an election within week.( they won't get one, markets stabalised as Government now has 70 days to do something)
There is resentment (rightly or wrongly) about migrants. There will now be an eu referendum.
Italy is 3rd largest in euro zone financially. If it leaves eu and or drops euro, euro is probably doomed. Sleepless night in Brussels...panick today.
The Expresss' take in it is fairly common. I read some investment report early this am...said pretty much same.
Euro zone and eu just had boat rocked again, consequences of Italy leaving are worse than us doing so.
