The party of tax-cheating, multi-millionaires has abandoned its hugely acclaimed (by all the wrong people) academies policy and has done so very quietly in the hope that no-one notices.
To that end, their media friends are keeping any mention of the matter very low-key but I'm sure most people will remember 'Thicky Nicky' Morgan, then Education Secretary, touting the plan at every opportunity.

That is just another example of a tory policy which no-one wanted but they seemed determined to ignore both public and professional opinion for their own ends, ie. profits for their friends with all investment paid for by the taxpayers.
Now, how long will it take before they change course on the 'Brexit' nonsense? It started off as 'Brexit'. That became, 'Hard Brexit or soft Brexit'.....then we were reminded firmly that 'Brexit means Brexit'......fast forward to 'hard/soft' again......not forgetting the red herrings chucked in along the way such as the 'Norway model', the 'Canadian model', the 'Swiss model'.....deals with Australia, with Canada, with Nissan and who knows what tomorrow may bring?
The price of fuel is rising and winter is coming on, the price of Marmite has increased by 12.5% at Morrison's and the £ is struggling along at little more than equal value with the currency of choice among the committed European nations, the €. Is there anyone still believes we are magically going to be better off out of the EU?
As for immigration, it continues unabated in spite of government assurances -

Some Yank ..... (<= kiwi farmer son word that bad word filter doesn't like) said that I am too old to be behind a computer screen. I "can't understand" only the young hold that knowledge - maybe because I taught it to quite a number of them? So what is left for someone speaking three European languages? Tourism...
Having a job is better than not having one flecc.
Not always, retirement is much better.
But as for jobs in tourism, I'd rather have the choice than be railroaded into Britain being reliant on tourism.

The odd few pence on some imported items on supermarket shelves may not hurt us too much but as time goes on with such a weak currency, many more expensive items, luxury goods, even though the Apple products may be described, are going to be a challenge for many people.
It isn't the fault of Apple or of the Marmite producer or the oil companies that prices are climbing; the fault lies squarely with every person who voted for 'Brexit' and with a weak government, unable or unwilling to take the necessary decisions to look after the interests of its own people.
It won't end soon - of that you can be sure!

So would I be if I didn't have other interests. This afternoon I've been out fungi spotting and photographing for our society's web site, we look after and maintain the local nature reserve since our typically hard up council can no longer do it.
While out I also spread a load of woodchip on a path line that had got muddy. This is part of a project to repair all the worst path spots that's entailed us distributing 6.5 tonnes of shingle and 4 tonnes of woodchips around the reserve. My 4 x 4 is one that genuinely gets muddy, not a street only tractor!
We're all volunteers, some older than my 80 years, and it keeps me fit humping 25 kilo bags of shingle. Sample path treatment photos below:

Not sure having Tony Blair champion the remainers is going to help the remain cause,he was one of the most hated politicians in the UK after his lies about Iraq and Syria is a result.
One of my friends who has worked mainly in Africa and the Middle East said that certain countries only function under a dictator,maybe keeping Saddam would have been the better option.
Theresa May keeps using the phrase 'the people have spoken,it was a clear mandate',but the vote was hardly a landslide,the difference only 4% and who is speaking for the 48% who voted to remain,dont they have a voice???
When May was given the PM job she had to make a choice,pro Brexit or anti Brexit,she chose pro,so she is commited to it,despite how horrible it looks,she sticks with it or resigns. Even if she knows it is wrong for the UK she has to go with it,she dearly wants the PM job.
Pro Brexit voters remind me of Trump supporters,Trump could be accused of murder and his followers would find any excuse to forgive him. Similarly no matter how bad Brexit looks and what an awful job May and the Brexiteers do,the Brexit supporters will forgive her,I just dont know what catastrope must befall Brexit Britain before its universally thought of as a bad idea....perhaps troubles in Ireland or the Scots finding a way to stay in without the UK may be the catalyst to think again.
I may vote Lib-Dem as a protest vote if they say they are going to remain,that will shake up Mrs May,losing to the Lib Dems....Richmond By-election????

we design but don't make much chips since INMOS closed down years ago.

All the young-'uns I've known have gone backpacking in Australia after finishing or failing education. The sun and surfing so much better there.
