Of coyrse we will. We,ll buy Toyota,Nissaan, Ford Honda and the BM,s built in America.Thats exactly the point.
Aston and Jaguar are already expecting better sales over merc here and in states.
Don't forget that Ford is building every Fiesta and Focus in the massive new assembly plant in Nanjing,VW same.
China would love to ship cars to us tariff free.
Anyway,no tariffs can be put on us until Article 50 is finalised,we are still members of the EU,I don't think that Article 50 will ever be triggered.

Ok you lot win. Yes we are doomed. We should have stayed under power of Junkhers. The pound will be worthless soon. We will lose all our eu trade. Unemployment will hit 50%. Our pensions will fail. There will be rioting in streets helped along by mass hords of Albanian immigrants . Our firms will go bankrupt. No point signing on cos there,s no money.
I,m off back to Jamaica , will be way better off there .

Seems some on here want all this so they can say " told you so".

Get a grip FFS.

OG....disagree,we now hold all the cards,we cannot be forced to trigger Article 50,we could keep this impasse going for years and the longer it goes on the more frustrated Junkers and his cronies are going to become, there is no leverage they can put on us.
My business is absolutely booming at the moment,my EU customers love this 1.19 £ v€ rate,I buy very little from mainland EU,so there is little on the flip side,I am buying £v $ at forward buy 1.45,so keep it going as long as possible....note how inexpensive Kudos bikes are at present,I am under no pressure to increase prices.
Junkers(henceforth known as Hitler),can spit blood as much as he likes, but the EU is caught,Farage must be loving it. Theresa May looks like being our next PM,remember she was a remainder, she is shrewd, she won't be in any hurry to trigger Article 50,Jeremy Hunt is suggesting after the next general election,2020 at the earliest, new government....new manifesto......we will all have forgotten about this by then.
The referendum has done a good job of distracting the real problems of the EU,I am out in Greece at the moment, the Greeks love us for standing up to the EU,they are learning lessons, hehe.
KudosDave
Ah but Dave, your beer is costing you more isn't it, what a crisis, the world is going to end, ha ha

So you do know more than Hargreaves and King then. Start a company flecc.
I've done better than Hargreaves Lansdowne over the years, and it's why I was able to retire so early, and my start was from rock bottom, far lower than that of Peter H. But I never had any desire to start a company and even less desire to run one long term. My target from a very early age was to be completely out of industry and commerce, living more fully instead.

So yes, I have known more, and it's why I've avoided ever using Hargreaves Lansdowne, despite them still constantly mailing me to do so, knowing I have the resources. Why would I want to pay them fees when I can do as well or better myself?

nah, i'm OK with what's about to happen. speaking for myself, i'm really not into "told you so" BS. In the words of wilfred bion, words are highly overvalued. experience is not, and what's coming (have a look at Carney's speech) is, in fact, really coming.

There is a boat that tours the Ionian islands, called IslandHopping....it has 50 non assisted bikes and 15 electric bikes. It's an interesting holiday travelling in a character boat between the islands and a nice bike ride at each one. And my point is....the electric bikes they have chosen are Swiss Flyers, probably the most expensive range available.
Am sitting in a pavement cafe, nobody looks poor, there are new shops opening, food is good quality....Greece is bankrupt!!!!
But jobs are hard to find, young people want to leave, most want to come to England, but these are hard working, well educated people, why wouldn't we want them?
The 'we're all doomed' brigade are selling us Brits short,we are an inventive and entrepreneurial nation, there is much that is made in the UK,or much that we are traders of,that can only be bought from the UK.

very good question, couild it be because "we" are lazy, overindulged, overentitled slobs who have cultivated a narcissitic delusion that the world has to (and will) come to us to meet our needs? This certainly seems a refrain in some of this thread.

I completely agree, and I am in no way against imagration so long as it's controlled. The important point however is why should a majority of the young Greeks be forced to leave their own country and come to uk to work as bottle washers, hotel room cleaners, or car wash attendants.
With our weather why would they possibly want to leave but for their dire economic situation.
And how exactly is the EU trying to help them
The single biggest failure of the EU is on economic convergence, it just does not have the will, meanwhile Nero junker fiddles whilst Athens, and Rome burn

I think that is a very harsh generalisation, unfortunately the Blair/Brown years generated a number of families who are 'benefit experts',I understand the optimum number is 5 kids before 2017.
The laziness of some of these people to do any form of work, has left the vacuum that hard working EE workers are pleased to fill.
But the vast majority of Brits are hard working people,my own workforce are a dedicated team, who would detest any idea of going on benefits, although one must say the tax credit system has distorted the 'money in your pocket'.

frankly those who have been against immigration. and i include those in favour of points based immigration. i live in a reality in whcih one should give as well as take, so i'm in favour of allowing migrants who need/use resourses as much as those who contribute. One thing Ive taken from Brexit is how mean spirited the UK can be - both in terms of not wanting to do any heavy lifting in a world that's in crisis, and in terms of wanting to exclude otehrs who can contribute.

No it wasn't in my book, that's clearly down to what you have been reading
It was clearly about taking back control and the right to control who comes here and who doesn't, in line with our economic requirements and ability to absorb them in terms of services and integration

Hot press

""Antarctic hole beings to heal"

See all you remainers, just have a little faith:cool:
So now I quote the pessimistic view, since we should have balance, should we not? :D

However others are not entirely convinced that the decline shown in the new study is down to a reduction in the amount of chlorine in the stratosphere.

"The data clearly show significant year to year variations that are much greater than the inferred trends shown in the paper," said Dr Paul Newman from Nasa.

"If the paper included this past year, which had a much more significant ozone hole due to lower wave driven forcing, the overall trend would be less."

you're kidding yourself if you think that. You of course were not anti immigration.

But where I live and work, everyone I spoke to who was leave.. including well educated well off people like my physio, said they were voting out because we were full.

They blame the lack of space in schools, hospitals, and probably even the traffic jam on the M62 on immigration. There is simply nothing you can tell these people about it being a lack of investment etc etc that is causing their problems. Even my plasterer voted out because "we're full", but couldn't give me a single reasons as to why it effected him. He's earning loads and has multiple houses.

Its clear from my facebook feed and conversations with lots of leave people that they reasons they voted out are immigration, or a promise of increased funding for NHS. Both these are now proved to be false promises.

There are a couple of people I know that have given me reasons why they voted leave that whilst I don't think are correct reasons, would at least be changed by us leaving, but these are all legal.
