Oh one of those eh, that explains everything. I don't drink alcohol, and I'm considered a very tolerant person!

Ok , I will concede that point in your areayou're kidding yourself if you think that. You of course were not anti immigration.
But where I live and work, everyone I spoke to who was leave.. including well educated well off people like my physio, said they were voting out because we were full.
They blame the lack of space in schools, hospitals, and probably even the traffic jam on the M62 on immigration. There is simply nothing you can tell these people about it being a lack of investment etc etc that is causing their problems. Even my plasterer voted out because "we're full", but couldn't give me a single reasons as to why it effected him. He's earning loads and has multiple houses.
Its clear from my facebook feed and conversations with lots of leave people that they reasons they voted out are immigration, or a promise of increased funding for NHS. Both these are now proved to be false promises.
There are a couple of people I know that have given me reasons why they voted leave that whilst I don't think are correct reasons, would at least be changed by us leaving, but these are all legal.
Huddersfield voted remain, because its a university town now, full of educated well travelled people who see the direct benefits of being in the EU Its the wider area that swung it to being leave.Ok , I will concede that point in your area
But then it is Huddersfield
On a serious note, it would be possible for controlled imagration to also include location limits for your very reasoning and to aid integration and use of resources
About as much chance of that on this forum as a rat in hell,This thread has been good but it has shown some rather less attractive characteristics in human nature from both sides. In someways all the 90 odd pages have served to do is reinforce the righteousness off individual's opinions.
Perhaps one or two have slightly modified their views..so what I suggest we do is have a vote.. In name of democracy and all that's good in human nature we agree to support if not agree with the majority. We agree to not call for a revote ,not mock the loosers or nock the winning view when itts policies stumble on its hopeful climb. We agree to not come back and say either I didn't vote or my vote should have higher value. We accept and help the majority view for us all.
Do we all agree ?
The decision has been made and must stand, a second vote would be wrong.what I suggest we do is have a vote.. No sounds good to me, when a thing is plainly wrong only a fool agrees for the sake of peace, this is an issue of sufficient importance it must not be buried and forgotten. This thread has been good but it has shown some rather less attractive characteristics in human nature from both sides. Excellent!
Is flud doing "a Boris?" [emoji1]About as much chance of that on this forum as a rat in hell,
And more importantly it would rather finish the thread wouldn't it, I think there's more life in it yet
Fortunately there are some people who regard work more worthy than living like a Mississippi gamblerI've done better than Hargreaves Lansdowne over the years, and it's why I was able to retire so early, and my start was from rock bottom, far lower than that of Peter H. But I never had any desire to start a company and even less desire to run one long term. My target from a very early age was to be completely out of industry and commerce, living more fully instead.
So yes, I have known more, and it's why I've avoided ever using Hargreaves Lansdowne, despite them still constantly mailing me to do so, knowing I have the resources. Why would I want to pay them fees when I can do as well or better myself?
