And you think that we are keeping that relationship? how is it going to be sold to the Brexit Voter?
It's just another FOREIGN COURT
Of course we will.
there will always be international courts. Why do you assume the UK will isolate itself after brexit?

remainers are wrong to keep banging on about economic damage if we leave the EU. They should know by now that the economy is guided by practical considerations and gravity. It is stupid to assume that we'll lose 20%-30% of EU trade or world trade. The loss in trade will be single digit, and if we lose some trade, then solutions will be found, compromises will be made and the economy will be put right again.
What they should concentrate on is our future relationship with the bullies outside the EU, USA, China, India.

However, theresa may specifically says (see bbc news) UK should leave the ECHR
I thought she said we'll leave the ECtHR, not ECHR.

Nope, ECHR, see telegraph in April, it was a central objective of that snap election. You guys should really do your homework before trying to smear the ecj, it endorses all the principles of the ECHR
I thought they dropped that daft idea in their manifesto.

At last nights World Swimming Championship one of swimmers asked for a minutes silence in respect for victims of terror. His wish was refused. In his race he remained on blocks.Marvellous gesture by Alveres..( report didn't give his first name)

Oxygen
Folk come in here to reinforce their industrial strength self righteous opinions against Brexit, not to offer any optimism about leaving. That's been obvious since around post 10...Not sure all the ranting actually serves a purpose now but its keeping a lot of nurses happy.
Thank you for bringing the response of that swimmer to our attention. It was a noble gesture on his behalf. I must however have some sympathy for the organisers. It is the same rationale which has all the international sporting bodies banning any badges and emblems from players jerseys.
Where and when do you stop. ? Almost ever icon, image, flag which unites some group , will be definition alienate another group. .. otherwise it serves no purpose.

Zatlan, the reason perhaps why much of the coverage on Brexit does not appear optimistic, is because the frequent contributors are not optimistic about its success. Excepting Woosh who is flying a flag of "it won't be too bad, and maybe common sense will prevail so as to mitigate the damage" , the classical Brexit supporter response is " we won , we are free , we have control, you lost so shut up" .
In fairness you yourself have railed against perceived injustices and Mal adminstration in the EU... valid points and have argued that there are some economists who believe the future is bright.

.. is that not a short list of bullies?, Since you have excluded 90% of the world?

Now I am not in commerce, but when you lose 30% of your currency value, and you are an importing as well as exporting country, you could well lose double digit trading values.

no you don't. Currency exchange fluctuations affect trade volume only slowly.
A lower value of the GBP will reduce consumption of imported goods and encourage exports as measured by a basket of reserved currencies, but not immediately because of constraints on production capacity.
Over time, the lower UK unit cost of labour will stimulate investment and increase productivity but you are talking in years, not months.

'lower unit cost of UK labour'? You mean as we get more sweat shops that can compete with those in Vietnam. Take a long look in a mirror and decide whether that's really what you want to do to your community, fellow citizens, children

They begrudgingly backtracked - very much for now only - after loosing the majority. From their point of view a temporary set back
they backtracked before the last GE, it was not in their manifesto.
