I thought the sudden, paused, monotonous speech and expressionless face (didn't it start a few months ago?) were desperate obamaesque attempts at gravitas? Seemed an improvement on the dead ringer "I know!"s
The deep voice started around the same time that partygate started. The two coincided. I think she was preparing herself for great things from that moment onwards (in her idiot mind).

Hope you all are keeping your cool - even when you see the tory leadership candidates, Dorries, and goodness knows who else, getting you (and me) hot under the collar.

Getting away lightly here! Max. keeps changing between 31 and 33. Just gone up to two hours of 33C.

Well ... Weather wise we had about 3 hours of sunshine yesterday , and it was pleasant. Otherwise it was constant cloud cover . In fact on Saturday we had a rolling mist in from Sea , with very low visibility!.

A lot of yesterday was OK - but it became pretty darned hot in late afternoon and that heat hung around through the evening. This morning, woke around 5:30, completely uncovered, windows open (curtains closed). And felt warm. That is unusual.

Truss is on the way up, Mordaunt and Badenoch on the way down at last night's debate.
Sunak needs Badenoch to be his opponent in the last round. Would Sunak camp lend some votes to KB tomorrow to avoid her elimination?

The more we move away, the more difficult exporting to the EU will become. And I simply do not believe it is that which explains why we fail so much, so often.
Indeed. Our difficulties in exporting to the EU are just a very minor addition to the problems our comprehensive incompetence has caused ever since 1950. Seven decades of decline, that slowed in pace during the four decades of EU membership but now accelerating again towards oblivion.

My air conditioner is currently pumping air into my lounge at 12.6 degrees C say I, doing my smug Rishi Sunak impression.

The temperature of the air it's ejecting outside is currently at 48.4 degrees C, doing my bit for global warming.

I’m just leaving the fridge door open.
You, ll have to have fridge pipes outside to have a positive net affect. I, ve stood fridge in doorway, pipes to outside and a great big blanket sealing it in doorway.. Its on a turntable too, just spin it around when it's cold. Who says heat pumps are expensive.
I bet all those folk baying for Boris' blood were relieved when they saw the 5 possible replacements other night.
We, ve just sacked Jose and appointing bloke from chip shop who has watched a few games.
What could go wrong. Oh, how we laughed. Penny Mordant seems best qualified, her initials mean she is made for the job. Apart from having IQ of a cucumber that is.
Just think, anytime soon we could be going to war with Russia. Wonder what Lavrov would be saying about Lizzy Truss then.He spent 30 seconds in her company and decided she was thick. She, d make a fine war time PM...for Putin.

Fridges are too weak to operate sufficiently as heat pumps.

Single room Air con units consume 900 to 1500 watts/hr when cooling, depending on room size, far above any domestic fridge consumption. With the new electricity prices the current heat wave will be hurting some air con owners!

It is probably the single most obvious use for solar power. More sun. More electricity. More heat. More cooling.
