Brexit, for once some facts.

It appears that no-one asked the question: "What would happen if this was printed on the front pages?"

The answer to which is unfolding.
As I've previously posted before it happened, the punishment is electoral as we saw in North Shropshire. There's no need for the police to intervene or to attempt any costly and failing legal actions. The public will deal out any punishment they think due, and that will hurt far more than anything any court could do to them.

My point was about ineptitude. Don't do things that would embarrass if they make the front pages and, if you still determine to do them, make sure there are no witnesses - including cameras.

I doubt it's possible to keep any such gatherings secret in this smartphone and advanced cameras age. The detailed Downing Street garden photo in your post could easily have been taken from a helicopter half a mile away.

this year, not locking down is less dangerous than last year.
Those currently being in hospital are mostly unvaccinated or over 75.
I reckon that the level of hospitalisation will peak at around 15-January with less than 30,000 being treated at the same time.
It’s too early to say that. There’s not been a large enough level of infection for a sufficiently long period of time to asses what percentage of infection will translate into hospitalisation. That assessment will be possible during January, not today.

I am not sure you would react the same way if you were in their shoes.
I agree Woosh really but it is a bit ironic when amongst richest folk in country start playing hard luck story. And, let's be honest there isn't another commodity on planet which enjoys such a mark up in prices.
Friends (well some folk we know) of ours went to Pierre Whites. They chose to have restaurant selection of wines with each main course. 3 glasses of wine. £160 per head just for the wine... That was cheapest option. They are taking the mick... But folk go...

I agree with that... Hence why I think government are playing it up at moment. All this follow data, science etc is utter rubbish. Numbers on MV are dropping, numbers in ICU just about constant... Every report coming out SA is positive. But for a change Government want to react before data tells them to... I wonder why?
I can here the bugle... That's why..
Vaccines and Boris saved Christmas...
But, I, m not sure enough to bet my life on it, so I, m being careful.. And, I've had my booster.. But you watch mid January...

Ergo, don't do the thing in the first place.

I'm quite sure photo analysts could determine where it was taken - probably within a metre.

To my untutored eyes, it doesn't seem to have the flattened depth you get with extreme telephoto lenses.

That was my point exactly when this particular hare was raised a few weeks ago Of course I was unaware that any bye elections were scheduled anywhere . Picking up what the Lib Dem winner had to say, I strikes me that that area of Shropshire would have been a classical conservative ..small c with decent middle class folk. They were appalled by the grift of the previous MP and shocked by the callous defence by the PM. I would not be surprised if the DUP get a similar scrubbing in NI next year

I didn't say it was, only that it could be, in high definition too as this photo I took of such a means shows:

Definition/resolution, I agree, is not a problem.

What we can see from Google Earth (or similar) is astonishing despite the quality of that being deliberately downgraded.
Drone/helicopter or security camera shot? Doesn't seem wide-angled enough for a security camera, unless the photo was cropped near the middle. If it was the latter, there will be another Tory outcry about use of security camera footage shortly.

My guess, and it really isn't worth anything, is a mobile phone shot.

1240x1427 (1.77 MPixels)

Obviously, the original might have very different resolution/size.

Have a look here:

(Meant for Information - not promotion/encouragement.)
Wow, i had no idea - I bet it tastes bloody awful. I'll order some, for the unlikely scenario where I fall off the wagon. Incidentally, why does a product called "Cafe Creme" taste so not like? I did enjoy the effect they had on my brain after inhaling them. Easier to enjoy a whole one with a coffee than Pantella. I'm sure they're lying about the nicotine content of Cafe Cremes.

If so, maybe that Huawei with the optical zoom which uses some vertical length of the phone body via a small reflective mirror, periscope style? Or otherwise some other monster zoom phone camera. That'd be a good vantage and view for a security camera on a pole, and the high end models use phone camera sensors - Sony Exmor sensors for instance, are found in scanners, webcams, action cameras etc.

I suspect your brain is going in the wrong direction. Think Henri Winterman's Café Crème

If I'm not careful I'll talk myself into going out to buy some, I did "Enjoy" those on some weekends...

I'll go out for a slow jog tonight or tomorrow, raw garlic has taken the chest pain away.

@oyster

The client who suffered a stroke: When I last talked with him two years ago, he mentioned a troubling area of dry skin on his neck - hypothyroidism symptom? He felt sure it was caused by smoking, which is when I recommended vapes as a means of quitting.

What I meant by "Effect on my brain", was the effortless concentration which nicotine affords, when consumed in sufficient quantity. A friend who plays chess swears by smoking a cigar or two before every match, says the same. His memory is freakish - claims to recall every move of every game he's ever played.

So we'll get millions of Christmas micro-spreader events, "Following the science", which Boris says states that Omicron is also deadly? Mid Jan will look much more alarming, even if Omicron turns out to be less deadly.

Retired teachers should welcome the opportunity to answer the government's call, to teach in Covid filled classrooms and die gloriously for the cause... but only those who voted Tory. ;)
