As can measuring blood pressure (when accompanied by anxiety), which in part is why I try not to measure anything I don't have to (abaddon will have me, it will be messy, it's probably better if I don't see it coming)
I keep seeing doctors and nurses making mistake after mistake in measuring blood pressure. Have come to the conclusion the best approach is both DIY and frequently.

Errors include cuff in wrong place, or mis-oriented, arm at wrong height, patient talking, or being talked to, during measuring, always doing the same side. Often, GPs are set up so it is a pain to do the opposite arm. But they should do both arms from time to time.

Sit down somewhere quiet. Place cuff. Check position of arm. Press Go on machine. Repeat a few times.

Michelin restaurants (in my extremely limited experience, am more a macdonalds type) are overrated. But the tyres (have pilot sports) have been great. Could it be the car?
Noma looks bonkers, especially at those prices:

....very looong video:

Thanks oyster, that's very useful info! I bought a Lloyd's chemist's blood pressure measuring gizmo, but it broke on first use - something went "POP!"... so it went back. "This IS unusual," they said, and "This has never happened before". Maybe I overloaded it, scrambling it's brain. I'll get one from amazon.

The few seemingly good things that go through HoC are often not introduced by the government that is supposedly responsible, but as a private member's bill.

Many home ones come with cuffs that are too small for many of us. Our old one was barely usable for me. But a big cuff would have been wrong for her. Some have cuffs that genuinely cover a wide range of arm thickness. (Brain thickness is another matter altogether!)

Not sure how up to date and complete they are in terms of models covered, but you could do worse than look here for starters:

Very useful indeed! I'll get me one of those! The reason why I got Lloyd's chemists version, is because it's only a stone's throw away...

I certainly hope that your recent difficulties were not caused (or made worse) by the extremely rare heart-inflammation side effect. I've had "One in a million" medical problems THREE TIMES! One should never underestimate "One in a million". One was a extremely rare tumour which hardly anyone ever gets, the others were by freak chance.
I actually don't think so. Had the Pfizer been the cause, ...and I got my third shot about 10 days previously, , i expect I wouldn't be writing this . The problem with my jaws was about at least 5 months in the making .
I am really convinced that had I got Covid , or the blood coagulation disorder alleged from the vaccine, I would be gone.

I’ve got Michelin tyres on my Golf. To be honest they’re a shitty overpriced inferior quality product. I’ve never had a set last long enough to wear out. The side walls either crack or they become oval and create excess vibration. I never tried one of their restaurants, but if their tyres are anything to go by, I’m not missing much.
.. perhaps the sole is rubbery?

..or perish the thought, the driver! I think I am on my 5 th set of Michelins ,0r maybe 4th. In 11 years on my 2011 Peugeot. I was bullied by a French Garage to replace the front 2 when they only had about 4000 miles on them. He didn't have the exact match and refused to replace only one. The problem was that it had a badly scuffed sidewall ,with a nick ... My mistake with a curb.

Sit down somewhere quiet: I always do.

Place cuff:
I have to. the machine can't check it if I don't

Check position of arm:
Not necessary, it's always been attached to my shoulder.

Press Go on machine:
Check

Repeat a few times:
No, hiccups when checking sends the blood pressure soaring.

Hi. Before my own problems, I was more worried about my wife's BP and bought the best Braun BP meter then available in Boots. Unfortunately I did not have the wit to buy one with Bluetooth. Well manually transferring the data got tedious and when they were on offer I replaced it with an Lidl silvercrest unit . This has a shoulder type cuff ,rather than the cheaper wrist cuff models . The Silver crest gives identical readings to the Braun and can output to a mobile Android phone the current last thirty readings. The phone app works into the cloud and all the reading are available. So before going to the Consultant, I had graphs printed of , BP, MAP, average pressure, etc going back on a daily basis for 6 months .
The linking of the Bluetooth to the phone is was really hit and miss, but once running is very reliable.
