I’m due January 2022. That’s my penalty for looking after myself and keeping fit.

We need to get the fat bastards inoculated so they can get back inside the cake shop.
So that why I'm getting it is it?
Damn I wasted my time learning to bake a pretty damn good date and walnut loaf!

Fionna O'Leary, @fascinatorfun

Currently there is an 85% of border freight traffic. Who can blame them? No queues mean few products. “The failure to secure an implementation period is stupid, cruel and unnecessary. There may be no queues in the day ahead but the work is only starting to sort out the mess. “

Brexit Pushes Most Europe Share Trading Off Top U.K. Venues

"Aquis Exchange Plc Chief Executive Officer Alasdair Haynes told Bloomberg TV on Monday that 99.6% of its European stock trading moved to its parallel venue in Paris. Cboe Europe saw 90% shift to its Amsterdam venue, while 92% of such trades on London Stock Exchange Group Plc’s Turquoise platforms were inside the bloc by 3 p.m. in London. The moves represent about 4.6 billion euros ($5.6 billion) of trades, according to data from Cboe Global Markets Inc. "

I was called but not selected in the one case - then we were all dismissed.
You were lucky. There's no such thing as only one case in London!

In the latter half of 2010 the overload of cases was so great that all the crown courts sat in two shifts per day. With a very early start each day until midday, one case was being tried to conclusion. Then from midday each day a second case was being tried.

Observations:
Is this the first time Johnson has been spot on time?
Did they defer this so that they could say the Oxford-AZ vaccine is now actually being distributed/received by patients?
He expressly referred to the whole UK!

I was called for jury service on one occasion but I appealed on the basis that I was essential in my job. My evidence was accepted and I was excused service.
.
Unfortunately, I don’t have a job, so that’s non-starter. Hopefully the courts will be closed until well after my call-up date.

That last proviso is going to ruin a lot of love lives
If ever there was a non starter that has to be it!

Do you work for Aquis? Does that mean you have to move to Paris? My gold is doing well, so is my equities portfolio. Is that because they've moved to Amsterdam? My houses each went up by £13,316 in 2020 too according to the Guardian. I'm making more money than when I was working.

Making more hot air more like, haven't you anything better to do than boast when faced with depressing truth about the situation?

my houses returned about 12% last year. I’m not sure about other investments, I’ll wait ad see on those. It doesn’t seem like real money though and I’m not relying on the situation lasting.

I‘ve also got a government final salary pension. They closed the scheme a few years ago, but I just managed to retain all benefits by age. One month younger and I would have lost a lot. They pushed hard for me to commute a big chunk to cash when I retired. I didn’t and now receive 70% of my final salary, index linked. Because I’m no longer paying NI or pension contributions, nett pay is about the same as when I was working. It’s a bonkers scheme, no wonder they closed it, totally unsustainable for newbies. Suites me through.

Have you looked into paying voluntary class 3 NI contributions? You can check on line what your state pension is going to be and if you have been contracted out which it sounds like you have been if you have a government backed pension (I am in a similar position) then you can pay every month to make up the short fall. I took early retirement a few years ago at 55 and I pay around £60 a month to NI to make up for my contracted out years even though I have well over the 35 years people assume is all that is needed for a full state pension.

I can't remember the exact details but its something like if you think your likely to live 3 years beyond your normal pension age (66 for me) then paying the Class 3 contributions is a sensible investment.

I haven’t looked into that. It was on my to-do list, but now you’ve mentioned it, I’ll bump it up in priority. Thank you.
