Free school meal vouchers* provision over the last Easter holidays was implemented - and Govt did a U- turn on free school meal vouchers for eligible pupils over the summer holidays. Tories voted against a continuation of the scheme over Crimbo and for Easter 2021 - entailing £15 a week for every pupil qualifying for free school meals.
The meal vouchers are less likely to be abused than the millions of pounds spunked out on Test & Trace to private companies , consultants and the epic scale of fraud with the business loan scheme.
Perhaps you are confusing the school vouchers with Luncheon Vouchers involving Cynthia Payne....
*The eGift card is issued to parents in respect of the free school meal benefit and will only be accepted in store for the purchase of food and groceries. Aldi, Asda, Marks & Spencer, McColl’s, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Waitrose.
