Don't you think they would have shown the video evidence if it were true rather than just a single snapshot? Just 2 secs either way would show the truth one way or another. They said that they were recording it. Why would G lie if he knew he had been filmed and the film would expose any lies? Hello thickos!!
Err.....Yes !

I have difficulty in thinking you are as thick as you pretend. ... A FILM is coming out TOMORROW, now the still is to whet appetites and increase viewing , so as my mother would have said, "hold your whist , to cool your porridge ." .until tomorrow .

So, we have Giuliani an unmarried old man alone in a bedroom with a 24 year old woman.
Lucky guy many would think.
But thinking means you have to ask yourself,
Who took the photographs?

Where did that come from? What's that got to do with masks? Are you deranged or something? Do you disagree with any of the data he shows?
yes I unfortunately watched the sad chap's inane ramblings - well to when he had an image of a graph which he pointed to at a certain low point and then he opined that he believed masks didn't work. At that point I thought best check his credentials out and found his talent for patriotic piano playing and fondness for your mutual friend... Almost as good as TBT at his finest.

I watched the second and last US presidential debate.
For once, Trump did OK, was polite, quick and intelligible.
Biden was slow and repeated rehearsed lines.
However, vfr is not going to like this, early polls say that Biden did better by a substantial margin:

YouGov: Biden 54% Trump 35%
CNN: Biden 53% Trump 39%
Data for Progress Biden 52% Trump 41%
US Politics: Biden 52% Trump 39%

The most telling difference is Trump's remark: the air in China and India is filthy.
So it's OK for US to keep burning fossil fuels.

Meanwhile, back in blighty, the government's intention to get driverless cars onto our motorways next year have suffered a little bit of a blow:

UK insurers warn against go-ahead for self-driving cars on motorways
Government plans set to start in 2021 risk lives and are ‘hugely wrong’, experts say
https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2020/oct/23/uk-insurers-warn-against-go-ahead-for-self-driving-cars-on-motorways

Not that many of us ever believed it a sensible, viable target in the first place.

Perhaps the government will take on the cost of insurance. As well as Covid...

Nice when people learn from experience. The story does not say that the NHS systems are compromised but there is "concern".

French IT outsourcer Sopra Steria hit by 'cyberattack', Ryuk ransomware suspected
You know, the firm that runs half of NHS Business Services

French-headquartered IT outsourcer Sopra Steria has been struck by a “cyberattack,” reportedly linked to the Ryuk ransomware gang.

The business declined to say what had happened, though French media reports indicated (en francais) that Sopra Steria’s Active Directory infrastructure had been compromised, seemingly by hackers linked to the Ryuk malware crowd.

Sopra Steria declined to comment when The Register contacted it, beyond referring us to a regulatory statement published last night at 19:15 CEST (18:15 UK time).

This said:

A cyberattack has been detected on Sopra Steria’s (Paris:SOP) IT network on the evening of 20th October. Security measures have been implemented in order to contain risks. The Group’s teams are working hard for a return to normal as quickly as possible and every effort has been made to ensure business continuity.

The outsourcer also runs a joint venture with the UK Department of Health and the NHS, NHS Business Services, which just this week awarded a £500m framework to a number of smaller firms. That same joint venture was found back in 2017 to be responsible for the biggest ever loss of patient documents - more than 708,000 items of correspondence, including test results.

Ignore the polls. They are a proven inaccurate waste of time and effort. People lie to the pollsters for a variety of reasons.

Sleepy Joe is toast. He looks like a corpse. The Dems have handed Trump a second term with their whining and sour loser attitude. Everyone loves to kick a poor loser and to rub it in. That’s all there is to it.

Well I have just watched it on a reply system. I thought Trump did much much better this time around. However his bluster was apparent. Biden was poor, and really failed to debate and engage. There were multiple opportunities available to him to rip into Trump, which he failed to take advantage of. ..The first was when Trump attacked him on handling the H1N1 .. the obvious repost was to agree with him and say .yes that was true, and that's why we set up a process so it would not reoccur..which you dismantled. However he did have policy positions. He showed a bit of passion about the 500 orphans created by the IS.
Yes Biden did better , not good, but better than Trump

.. Actually seeing replays of more segments,..Biden is not a bad debater, ..he is woeful. Any first year university student on a college team would have wiped the floor with Trump

Trump knows he's been beaten, that's why he behaved like a politician in the debate because he will be one has been politician very soon.
I actually like some of the things he said, he's not frightened to call a spade a spade.

I watched it too and I thought Sleepy Joe looked old, tired and not really in the room. That doesn’t matter too much because he’s the Trojan Horse to install someone less popular in the White House. The Dems know that if they put forward their favoured Presidential candidate, no one would vote for them because no one likes their ideas. They’ve put Sleepy Joe up to get their way by stealth and deception. I think the Americans have sussed this and that why he will lose.

I'm not sure if & where Trump's claim to be greatest President since Abraham Lincoln stands in the fact check - but US is again presented with a crossroads to choose wether to continue full steam ahead with the Orange one's fog horn blaring a litany of lies and deceptions, or to change to have a Caine Mutiny and get Biden in to restore a calmer normality back to leadership, and think of the last 4 years as a bad dream.

Orange corner

14 false
12 misleading
5 lack evidence
3 exaggerated
1 partly true
1 mostly true
1 true

Blue corner

2 true
1 exaggerated
1 false

•In their final debate, President Trump unleashed an unrelenting series of false, misleading and exaggerated statements as he sought to distort former Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr.’s record and positions and boost his own re-election hopes. The president once again relied heavily on well-worn talking points that have long been shown to be false.

•The president appeared determined to reinvent the reality of the last four years — and the history of the pandemic in 2020 — as he faces judgment on his actions in just 12 days. He once again falsely dismissed the Russia investigations as a “phony witch hunt.” He insisted that aside from Abraham Lincoln, “nobody has done more for the Black community,” an assertion that people in both parties find laughable. And he tried again to wish away the pandemic, saying “we are rounding the turn” even as daily cases of the virus this week topped 70,000 in the United States for the first time since July.

•The clash between Mr. Biden and Mr. Trump was contentious but more well-behaved than their first debate, with fewer interruptions. Mr. Biden made false statements, too: He falsely accused Mr. Trump of having “caused the deficit with China to go up,” and he exaggerated when he suggested that “red states” in the Midwest were having spikes in the virus. But Mr. Trump relied more on questionable and specious arguments about Mr. Biden’s family, Democratic policy positions and his own record, leading Mr. Biden to repeatedly express exasperation by saying, “C’mon, man!”

•A team of New York Times journalists fact-checked the debate, providing context and analysis.

That is a bit insulting about a member who has contributed an enormous amount of knowledge to the forum.
All that you seem to have done since the Brexit vote is to rant on interminably.
He may well have contributed the equivalent of the Encyclopedia Brittanica to the Forum, but his contribution to this particular thread amounts to a page torn out of Pravda.
As to me?
Guilty as charged, and unrepentant about it.
Why should I be when I believe my cause is just, may I ask what your reasons are for your comment?
I'm reminded of the last chorus of one of Tom Lehrer's songs
"It's your fault if my songs too long,
You should never have let me begin"
Ah wouldn't that be the right winger's version of Heaven eh?
Think about that, do.

It's alright Mike, he's quite harmless. The poor guy is suffering from both BDS and TDS. The pills they gave him to control it are just not strong enough for both, so we just humour him in this forum. He's a bit like a pet cat that brings you presents, like dead birds and mice. Every day he goes out hunting and brings back his exciting finds. We smile, pat him on his head, give him a reward and send him off to see what else he can find. His favourite hunting area is The Guardian, but now that winter is setting in, hunting is not so good and he's finding it hard to bring back anything worthwhile.
Actually I suffer from neither, but like everyone else I do suffer from fools, as exampled by your posts of complete conspiracy nut theory material.
I do actually read them, a bit of slapstick fiction is harmless.
I assume you post them as a jest.
