I think that is the current Trump approval rating. Not any vote, as such.

https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/trump-approval-ratings/
Exactly what it is (at least as exact as any of these ratings are). That is approval for the man, and as Woosh says not a vote. Probably most of those that approve will vote for him; I wonder how many will vote for him as candidate for the party even though they disapprove.

He's worse than an overpowered scooter. Is it unkind to suggest we club together to buy him one (and hope he kills himself)?

"As of 1 January 2021, the United Kingdom will no longer be part of the EU Customs Union. Therefore, customs formalities required under Union law will apply to all goods entering the customs territory of the Union from the United Kingdom, or leaving that customs territory to the United Kingdom. This will happen even if an ambitious free trade area is established with the United Kingdom, providing for zero tariffs and zero quotas on goods, with customs and regulatory cooperation.

Is anyone surprised? ;)

Just read that again.

What is a "zero quota"? Reads to me as a quota value of zero which would mean none could be imported/exported. Shouldn't it be "no quotas applied", or "infinite quotas"? Or is this some sort of legalistic accepted form of words for such discussions?

It is logical though it doesn't read that way at first. Zero quota is no quota, therefore no limit, i.e, infinite quota, but infinite can never be used in any legal document since it isn't specific.

How do they express a quota of "none" - nothing allowed at all?

Even the USA now has a covid contact app. Well, a state:

https://www.macrumors.com/2020/08/05/virginia-covid-19-app-apple-google-api/

The link also mentions Canada's app.
There was a guy on the wireless yesterday evening speaking on behalf of a company called NearForm. They are a tech company based in Ireland and seem to have an app that’s relatively cheap to roll out, works and can be ready in 4 weeks. It has less security issues than the U.K. debacle and is in use in other countries apart from Ireland.

Cheap, works, quick to roll out? Can’t see Handcock and Lady Dildo going for that.

The really need a good Calendar
"the Telegraph published details of the leaks TWO days before it is now claimed Liam Fox was hacked"

Really the incompetence of this Government is indeed "World leading"
This is probably to cover up the fact that they got the info from Cummings

zero quotas - it's a technical terms to cover remote supplies of services.
Gambling, e-commerce, internet cloud services etc that sort of things.

Saw that this morning

Massive big con and fraud

To be effective these types of face mask need to fit tightly to create a seal between the mask and the wearer's face.

I wonder what was tested and verified, compared to what was supplied.

It is not clear what will happen now to the 50 million masks.

Ebay em at a quid each - sold as seen , no returns ;-)

It wasn't long ago Hancock et al. were insisting that local authorities had all the data they could possibly need. Now we see that they haven't even been asked to sign GDPR/DPA agreements so simply cannot have had access - and will have to sign to get access.

Councils in England to be offered near real-time data on Covid cases
Authorities will have to sign data protection agreements to get access to PHE database
