Terror incident in Glasgow reported this afternoon. Multiple stabbings and deaths.
Untrue again, the only death was the perpetrator shot dead.

Six stabbed people are in hospital with critical but not life threatening injuries.

You seem to like to give me tips on how to live, but here's one for you. Don't read newspapers, they'll only mislead you.

Incident in West George Street that left six people, including police officer, hospitalised not being treated as terrorism

Dear oh dear! You don't understand how it works. I think you need to go on the Intensive Racial Sensitivity training course that the Burnley banner pilot's girlfriend was ordered to go on because her boyfriend flew the plane with the banner. She refused the training, so was sacked.

From the daily Star:
In an update, the salon have confirmed that they no longer employ Rambadt, despite previously stating that they would pay for Intensive Racial Sensitivity training.

They concluded: "Earlier we posted a statement saying we were willing to try and help Megan by paying for Intensive Racial Sensitivity training despite knowing that Solace's reputation would come into question.

"After several conversations with Megan tonight however we have all decided that what is best for Megan and best for Solace is to end her employment with immediate effect."
I have just run it past the boss and he’s happy to keep me on. He says this BLM BLT MGB-GT stuff is all a load of old ******* and the problems don't exist, they are just excuses for personal failure due to lack of effort.

In a sense yes. On both sides of the fence. Theres a whole bunch of inadequate impotent middle aged blokes who are equally trying to escape lives of desperate underachievement by screaming white lives matter. And imagining some of the most far fetched conspiracy theories I've seen I'm some time. Even on this thread, again, to misquote jesus rodriquez

I don't care about White Lives Matter or Black Lives Matter, all life matters equally. Those White Lives Matter blokes were probably the ones shittting in plastic bags and leaving it on Bournemouth beach yesterday. The whole White / Black thing is a complete sack of garbage. It is being used as something to blame for the fact that they are useless sponging wasters, who are reliant on other people's labour and effort. I have absolutely no time for any of it, WLM or BLM.

Who owns the other 80%?

And, so far as I can see, OneWeb are primarily low earth orbit people going for high capacity comms rather than GPS-like merchants.

UK poised to invest £500m in satellite rival to EU's Galileo system
PM and chancellor back purchase of 20% stake in troubled US operator OneWeb
It isn't just me questioning what we are buying:

“The fundamental starting point is, yes, we’ve bought the wrong satellites,” said Dr Bleddyn Bowen, a space policy expert at the University of Leicester. “OneWeb is working on basically the same idea as Elon Musk’s Starlink: a mega-constellation of satellites in low Earth orbit, which are used to connect people on the ground to the internet.

“What’s happened is that the very talented lobbyists at OneWeb have convinced the government that we can completely redesign some of the satellites to piggyback a navigation payload on it. It’s bolting an unproven technology on to a mega-constellation that’s designed to do something else. It’s a tech and business gamble.”

Giles Thorne, a research analyst at Jeffries, agreed. “This situation is nonsensical to me,” he said. “This situation looks like nationalism trumping solid industrial policy.”

Phew! At least one theatre is going to be OK. On the other hand, maybe it will get the audience it deserves?

If treated with the sort of send up attitude of Little Shop of Horrors or Rocky Horror Show, it might catch the Mousetrap. Otherwise, it will be a miracle if it lasts a week.

Yes, I did read it. It was a real page turner. I was desperate to see if the next page was as awful as the one I had just read. Time after time, it was.

Bestselling novel The Da Vinci Code to hit the stage in London
Renowned author Dan Brown looked on proudly at the stage, which resembled a kind of raised platform made of wood. The blackened silhouettes of the actors dazzled him with their bright blue eyes and ghostly white faces. But as he stared with the eyes located under his side-parted hair, a terrible fear gripped him gently. Was this performance about to become a critical hit? Or would the stage adaption of his novel The Da Vinci Code merely cement his reputation as a terrible writer?

Theatregoers in the UK are about to find out as Brown’s 2003 bestseller hits the stage for the first time next year. The book defied its critics, selling 100m copies despite being described by Salman Rushdie as “a novel so bad that it gives bad novels a bad name”.

Only Johnson could se stupid enough to say this

""You may think you’re not going to get it & you’re immortal & invincible. And very likely that’s true, particularly if you’re young. But the bug you carry can kill elderly people."

About as helpful as Cummings

I've found myself on some strange sites recently. Jenrick has now led me to this one:

Jenrick - Why his scandals matter to agents

It may be that by the time you read this it’s all over for Robert Jenrick, the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government.

By all over, I mean he may well have resigned or been sacked following the lengthening list of planning controversies he has been linked to.

If he goes or is fired, his long-term political career will be as good as over - although it’s worth pointing out that he and his department claim they have not been involved in any wrongdoing whatsoever.

If he does eventually go, the end of his political climb may well be the start of a lucrative second career - gently gently, slowly slowly, and almost certainly involving property development, where he appears to have found numerous useful contacts in recent months.

"we've just got to trust in the common sense of the British people-" woah stop right there my friend have you seen who the British people elected as their leader
and have you seen those clowns in Liverpool? Launching fireworks at their most famous building and damaging it to celebrate a football victory. Cramming together in the middle of a pandemic. Unbelievable.

They are clearly going for Hillsborough 2. They can then blame the police to excuse their own stupidity. Maybe they’ll get a bit if compo to spend on a mullet & perm when the barbers reopen.

What Johnson has done to the country is precisely encapsulated in the image of a man shitting in a burger box on a beach and leaving it for some other poor sod to clean up. There will never be a more perfect metaphor in the history of the world. Ever.

My reaction: Too true!
Beautiful words. My only regret is that I didn’t assemble that statement myself.
