I think quite a few of us could hazard a pretty accurate guess on how Dianne Abbott would perform.
Probably not very well, she certainly isn't the person she once was as Woosh has remarked. At one time some while ago she was clever and very capable person, but now seems to be slow thinking and distracted.
However, I'd change your would to could, since she wouldn't get a chance to do much.
I see a number of you getting into a tizwoz about Corbyn and co., but it really isn't necessary. We all know that both main parties are split, the Tories into a moderate majority and a smaller right wing group headed by Rees Mogg; Labour into their moderate majority and their smaller left wing cohort, headed by Corbyn and McDonald.
Of course those extremes and their influence in both are only due to their internal party voting systems which are at odds with the majority in the country.
It's the moderate majorities who prevent the extremes, remember how the attempt to get a No Deal exit was defeated by the moderate mass in the House?
So let us now imagine that the country had a brainstorm and had elected Corbyn's Labour with an 80 majority. Yes, I know that just sent a shiver down your spine.
Then Corbyn might just get through the nationalisation of rail and water since they have widespread support, but that would be about the limit. His moderate majority simply wouldn't vote for the more extreme measures so he'd be scuppered. The system that got him where he is can't help him, since neither the Unions nor Momentum can vote in the House of Commons or the Lords.
By the same token we needn't worry about the Tories being too extreme since they too are now down to only what's possible in the House.
So everyone should calm down and relax, particularly Zlatan and 50Hertz who could suffer heart attacks if they don't stop foaming at the mouth about Diane Abbott and Jeremy Corbyn.
They've just lost, Corbyn probably won't be standing next time at 70 years old and if Diane deteriorates further, neither will she.
