That actually would not be true. . We have a housing crisis , due to an inadequate house building post 2007. Prior to the crash we were overbuilding by a factor of 2. However substantial numbers of unfinished buildings, including entire estates had to be demolished. The housing shortage is acute in the general Eastern region, including Dublin, and stretching up to here. Our general requirement is about 40,000 units per annum, and we are at maybe at most 20,000. In 2007, the number peaked at 90,000.
There is a glitch in our tax code, which mitigates against an elderly person , perhaps in a care home from selling or even renting their home. I suspect that was the reason for the vacancy here.
Thanks for the update Danidl, I'm rather out of date on the situation there it seems. I remember the overbuilding phase and also when London Irish friends were buying homes there, but hadn't seen anything about the latter stages in the media here.

Look on the bright side a lot less for Nigel when he closes the company down!
It’s not about the money or winning seats.

I’d be very surprised if the BXP gained any seats, but they will definitely take votes away from some Labour and Conservative candidates in key areas. This will skew the voting figures and could very well deliver an unexpected GE result. It will be fascinating to see how Johnson & Co handle this. As far as they are concerned, BXP are very significant and a huge problem for them. BXP will be a big influence on the GE outcome and could easily help Corbyn into Number 10.

he bluffs.
All he wants is about the same number of seats as the LibDems so together with the ERG, they can hold the conservatives nuts.

Good for him, he didn't used to wear a cycle helmet until the nanny state brigade nagged him about it.

He doesn't need to be careful, you know the saying, the Devil looks after his own.

This is hilarious. Johnson is up the creek.

Despite what he says, I don’t think he wants a no deal Brexit. If he works with Farage, he will be forced to go that route, if he doesn’t, BXP will take a fatal chunk of Tory votes. He’s shafted.

Johnson has been heckling from the back row for three years, now he’s on the stage with the microphone his hand. Rabbit in the spotlight. He’s seen what no deal means, all the forecasts and reports, and he’s scared of it.

Obviously means precisely nothing, but...

In Russia, and many other countries in that directions, they have name days. Everyone with that name celebrates on their name day. 12th December is the name day for Alexander. But, as a public figure, he has renounced Alexander in favour of Boris.

In lists I have found, it appears that there isn't a name day for Boris.
