Looking at the European reaction it seems there is a fairly strong possibility that a further delay not be granted, forcing a decision here.
And since No deal is out, the choice becomes Mays Deal or revoke article 50.
I think the Leave loonies will hold their noses and accept Brino
Thanks to the calumny of Cummings Boris has succeeded in having positions reversed to the point where the EU have cornered him into accepting one or other of those choices by threatening a "No Deal" Brexit!!! :D

There must be an appropriate quote, perhaps

"How tangled is the web we weave
When first we practice to deceive"

or even
"Hoisted with his own petard"?

In the Telegraph they are clutching at straws
Boris Johnson draws up plan to legally stop Brexit extension if MPs vote against general election

Boris Johnson has drawn up plans to “sabotage” any Brexit extension without breaking the law, the Telegraph has learnt.

It means Monday’s vote on a general election is the “last chance” for MPs to block a no-deal Brexit, the Government believes.

The Prime Minister’s key advisers held a meeting on Sunday to thrash out a strategy to scupper Parliament’s efforts to force a three-month Brexit extension if no new deal is agreed.

One plan under serious consideration would see the Prime Minister send an accompanying letter alongside the request to extend Article 50

..................
As I posted yesterday the EU are likely to point out that he is not actually in charge of events and grant it on the basis of the fact that once it has been revealed what he had done ,they expect to be dealing with his replacement!
Given that the text of the letter is defined, maybe sending another letter alongside would constitute a failure to conform? There again, perhaps the EU would ignore a second letter until they have dealt with the first?

What goes around...

Brexit extension: 'Impeach Boris Johnson if law ignored'
Opposition party leaders should be ready to try to impeach the prime minister if he ignores a new no-deal Brexit law, say Plaid Cymru.

Boris Johnson has "already driven a bulldozer through the constitution", said Plaid's Westminster leader, Liz Saville Roberts.

The law, which should gain royal assent on Monday, aims to stop the UK exiting the EU with no deal on 31 October.

Number 10 has been contacted for comment.

No prime minister has ever successfully been impeached but Mr Johnson himself previously supported a bid to impeach Tony Blair when he was PM in 2004.

It is method by which Parliament can try individuals for high treason or other misdemeanours, but it is now considered to be obsolete.

The EU might not want to grant us an extension, especially if the U.K. stated that it would do everything within its power to disrupt and frustrate EU business. Under those circumstances they may just think they are better off letting us crash out and then dealing with the aftermath.

Agreed, which will concentrate minds here on May's Deal or revoke.

If Boris sends a letter to the EU along the lines of.

Dear EU
I have been forced by law and against my wishes to ask for an extension till
January 2020.
Nothing has changed Re the backstop and never will.
As far as I'm concerned you can stick your extension where the sun doesn't shine.
So can we have an extension or not? (I hope not)
Kind regards
Boris.

How could the EU grant any extension with a letter of such tone.
Looks like Boris is going to do this with a second letter......Pointing out why the EU shouldn't grant an extension.

He can run but he can't hide
You have t ask yourself why anyone is so misguided as to trust a man who in a moment of crisis for the country RUNS AWAY
His responsibility is to deal with the crisis not hide, and he has clear instructions to get on with the job and report his progress.

have been trying to find evidence of the attitudes of other EU member states to the Brexit situation.
My conclusion?
No real evidence that they give so much as a "Tinkers Cuss" what we do.
They are simply laughing at us.

Ireland cares. Obviously. Netherlands cares a little, France cares a little but are tired of the antics. But certainly the no deal legislation is just lipstick on a pig stuff.
