More Irish passports come here so that would be a very backward way of doing things. But it IS Ireland I suppose.
Let me see now, are we referring to the extraordinary demand for Irish Passports from Britons in the UK and of course our friends in the North

"Last year the passport service received 200,000 applications from British-based people directly to Dublin or through its office in London – although the largest share are for the children of Irish-born citizens living in Britain.".
Dont worry, Fingers, your wife will be able to let you exit the UK.

It does amaze me how little Irish people actually want to live in their country. It reminds me of Poland.

I’ve always found it charming but then I always have the option of coming home.

Lol! (Laugh out loud)

I knew I should have explained little. I actually put it in brackets and explained it then deleted it. I thought no. He won’t be so literal. He won’t be that stereotype.

But here we are.

George Bernard Shaw once said the English and the Americans are two nations divided by a common language.

At least Americans have some understanding. You either choose not to understand or you really don’t.

I’m not sure what’s the weaker tbh. (To be honest)

Begorrah indeed.

Are you having some difficulty with the meaning of words, the structure and syntax in the English language then?.
And don't get yourself in a tizzy, of course you have explained little.. None of your postings have explained anything yet,so why spoil your unblemished record.?

Nonsense. That’s a remainers fantasy. I don’t know a single person who voted leave that has changed their mind. Sure people are exasperated and shocked at the ineptitude May and co but it doesn’t mean they now want to stay in the EU.

Leavers knew the hard work would be in the first few years of leaving. People knew we would take a hit. They still wanted out then and they do now. Most leavers views have hardened and actually want a hard Brexit on WTO rules.
What a load of rubbish! leavers did not know anything of the sort, it was all going to be a walk in the park and you can't turn that around to suit yourself now, it is just too remote from the truth.
That is the most outrageous Urban legend of them all.

If leavers views have hardened and they want a no deal Brexit then in the face of all the evidence they lack the ability to make sensible decisions.
Just what do they imagine they are going to get from it?
And how many actually understand the disadvantages of WTO rules and why there aren't other nations clamouring to be on them?

And yes, I know he is hiding his face and blocking his ears in a corner so he doesn't have to respond to my comments, but that means his can be picked to pieces at leisure, doesn't it?
So much easier...for me.

The Express this morning
"
BREXIT REVOLT: PM suffers DEVASTATING Commons defeat as Parliament SEIZES CONTROL of exit
THERESA May has suffered a crushing Brexit defeat in the House of Commons after MPs voted in favour of an amendment to seize control of Britain's exit from the European Union.

Now what?
"
Mr Corbyn vowed Labour would back the Letwin amendment, declaring: "It is time for Parliament to take control."

"Unless this House agrees to it, no deal will not happen. No Brexit must not happen."

Why? for crying out loud, why?????
One idiot has been pushed aside by Parliament, time this one woke up before he is as well.
Otherwise we will end up with the tragi comedy of him being supported by the Right wing press, which must be the lowest point ever for a labour politician since Blair

If we rewind to the weeks prior to the referendum, you must admit that the the reality of today, and what we now face, is very different to what was promised back then. So different in fact, that I don’t think anyone can claim that Leave 2016 is the same thing as Leave 2019. Where as Remain 2016 still looks identical to Remain 2019.

Under the circumstances we find ourselves in, the fair, sensible and proper way forward is to allow people to vote again based on Leave 2019 vs Remain. If Leave 2019 is as popular as Leave 2016, then it will win. So why is anyone concerned about a second vote?

Less than four days to Brexit, have you all got a street party to go to, a balloon and a hat?

Can anyone explain why there are not Major celebrations to mark what the "Will of the people has achieved to "Liberate us" from the EU?"
Have 17 odd Million people no desire to celebrate?

Are we to have an "Independence Day" where like Farage's March only a handful actually give a Damn?

March 29th 2019, Brexit Day, a day that will live in Apathy!

(Rules and conditions apply, and event may be delayed or cancelled without prior notice)

What must the rest of the world think of us now?

Absolutely, and if fingers is correct, he has nothing to worry about, has he?

Hmm - how did they all pan out???

Well I'm going to celebrate anyway, so there...
"National inevitable disappointment Day!"

What could be more quintessentially British than that?

Oddly, and i know many may disagree,im rather proud of the way it is turning out. We managed our rabid right wing. We didnt metaphorically end up with a trump like populist usa, or an olban. Weve seen of populists like farage. In a tortured, embarassing way its becoming a victory for representative liberal democracy.

I don’t think anyone was in a position to offer anything tangible. There were aspirations and hopes and the usual tub thumping but you have to remember leave wasn’t a political party or in power.

We haven’t even left yet. The leave campaign never stopped campaigning and its propaganda, insults and lies have become mainstream. Couple that with literally the worst pm we’ve ever had and I can see why folks are unhappy and nervous but a new referendum would be more damaging to this country than even Mays deal. Imo of course. It would break the last scintilla of trust left in politics in this country.
