Never ever been sign off in the history of the EU
Fingers yiou are entitled to have an opinion, but then you have a duty to make it accurate. You lose all shreds of credibility otherwise. As a service to society and to your tattered reputation, I am attaching a reference to the last Court of Auditors report. As it is 38 Mb , I am sure the moderators of this forum will approvr.

It has many errors and is signed off but suspicions remain over the legitimacy.

Ted Robert Gurr, author of “Why Men Rebel”:

“people rebel not so much when they are materially deprived or when they are repressed but when a significant gap materialises between the future they have been promised and expect and the reality of their actual circumstance”.

Thought that somewhat apropos.

The people were promised Brexit. We all knew that that meant. Out of the single market - out of the customs union, out of the ECJ - no free movement. THAT was the deal.
They/You were promised lies - hasn't that been made clear by the ardent ERG and Leave campaign/s - all the slogans were manipluations to garner a protest vote at scapecoats (some culpable and many imagined) - then there was bungling Boris and his photo by the big bogus bus promising a bounty of unicorn bullshit.

This should have been done by an independent and impartial organisation as far from the EU as possible.
the auditing is as per EU treaty, under the control of the ECA.
If it were done by a commercial organisation, you would not have trusted it anyway.

Thank-you! Coincidence they`re in the same locale as the EU`s inebriated one?!!

that's where the ECA is found. This part of the city is occupied by the EU Secretariat, a bit like our Whitehall.

Ok, let us use this analogy then...

It`s similar to you taking your yearly Accounts to oldgroaner for processing..

you know how that`s going to end up
You've let your imagination run a bit wild here. The EU has the apparatus of a government.

By the way, I am watching BBC 'This Week' on iplayer.

That John Delingpole was so funny!
https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0c13ylb/this-week-24012019
I can see why remainers have lost!
edit: James Delingpole, not John.

But because I’m [James Delingpole] a print journalist with a frantic schedule, a scatty brain, and not much experience of writing words for the camera, what I tend to do is get the producer to do the original draft which I then polish afterwards.
....
I remember a small voice in my head warning me not to be complacent. “Read a piece by Patrick Minford so you’ve got your economics right. "

I concede that I was wrong about the accounts. I bought the lies. But real suspicion still surrounds the in house accounting having looked further.

I think this is more pertinent though.

The EU is sleep walking into its own demise. Like fervent evangelicals they march onward towards the noose. If they were smart they would welcome our vote and use it as a platform for real change. We could then have another referendum offering a new option instead of the ‘you were wrong, do it again’ scenario.

What if there is a swing to 30% of far right sympathisers in their parliament. Legitimately voted in. What then?

We clearly can’t change anything from within. Maybe we can from outside.

The solution to the backstop dillema currently faced in the HoC is so simple ,that it is astonishing that it has not been explored.
1. Allow a free vote, without party whips in the HoC
2. Remove or make time limited the Backstop guarantee as it affects Great Britain.
3. Retain the current non time limited backstop guarantee as it affects Ireland.

That is a compromise which the vast majority of UK MPs will find acceptable.

It is simple Dan. And I don't know why your government wouldn't want this.

But for me there are aspects of May's deal that trouble me greatly.

The 39 billion paid without a trade deal for one.
