What a terrifying prospect.
Labour can't win outright at the next GE.

SNP and LibDems MPs should keep JC and J. McDonnell from excesses.
TBH, McDonnell is becoming pretty much new Labour to me.

But on the other hand, neither did you.
bit uncouth for someone "retired early" to use, don't you think, who wants his opinions taken seriously?

Don't judge a book by its........ and all that. Try not being so prejudice, you might like it.

I don't mind Mcdonnell but Corbyn is just a walking failure. He says nothing and does nothing. He's like a socialist lite version of Major. At least Major bent Currie over...Yuck I'm going to stop there.

When he came in I thought a new broom genuine fresh change but he is ideology comes first. Above party, above country.

I want to like him I really do. I'm left wing and very anti Tory but this clown couldn't organise a demo in a brewery full of coal miners.

But you managed to reach an opinion on the basis of no evidence
His opinions were often extreme, but not untrue more often than not.
Since they were , unlike many of the leave supporter contributions we get of late much more frequently on topic, not merely intended to disrupt debate with pointless arguments.

By all means let us have this situation continue, as it does wonders for the number of hits the thread gets, and since there are no leave voters out there who can advance a pragmatic argument that presents Brexit in a favourable light, we have to make do with what supporting comical posts we can get.
You can't seriously believe that.

I started off yesterday by posting situation that I have come across concerning the free movement of labour and how it can be an advantage to people like me who employ tradesmen, but a disadvantage to UK based tradesmen. I stated that I employ citizens who come here looking for work from other EU countries. I stressed numerous times that the people I employ are registered traders, that they are not paid cash in hand or recruited down the pub. They come to me via a tendering process, they invoice for their work and they are paid into a bank account.

Despite the above, between you and Jonathan Agnew you managed to suggest that I was exploiting vulnerable people, reckless as to whether I was using slave labour, swindling the tax payers, that I hated Polish citizens and was somehow involved in an unsavoury world of business.

You really need to look at yourself before you talk about pragmatism, professionalism and being taken seriously. The disjointed leaps to random assumptions based on absolutely no evidence that you make, leaves me wondering if you are a stable person.

I was think that myself. if they are all pulling in different directions, they may unwittingly take us in the direction we need to be going.

Could that be because there are no coal miners left to fill a brewery?[/QUOTE]

I don't mind the extreme bit, but there is no need for him to call me an idiot and I am not the only one at the receiving end of his insults.
Likewise, I think he has some issues with either his emotions and/or his understanding of English.

Are there any drones capable of flying 24/7? Which implies in all weathers?

Admittedly the actual article doesn't say the drones will be flying 24/7 but typically of headlines, the word "drones" is given prominence when they might only be used a fraction of the time. Possibly only when the other measures have identified something to investigate.

Fly em around ports and airports that will stop us leaving this Island! Yes as for 24/7 operation - even military drones are hampered by wind and rain.

What a very strange comment.
I don't get it either.
You both surprise me, try adding "If".

If we flew drones around the areas where there's illegal immigration attempts, after the example of the Gatwick episode we'd also be grounding our airliners, stopping us leaving.

An amusing ironical comment on how we often defeat ourselves.

irony is unfortunately not something one shroud try to explain. if i said anything along the lines of "were on a thread discussing 'not leaving' or 'leaving' the eu; and trapped on an insignificant little island where the act of 'leaving' or 'not leaving' our biggst and best neighbour has somehow completely occupied our consciousness. and that drones stopping us from leaving represent a comical analogy for this spurious dilemma, my old English teacher would give me one mark. but i fear i have completely ruined it for anyone who enjoys it as a metaphor. i think i detect a theme here, but feel free to say if its of the mark: it is unfortunate that you and tom had an altercation in which he called you an idiot. that, however, is an entirely different matter from the likes of 50herz deliberately being obtuse and pretending not to understand as part of a well rehearsed little trolling exercise.
