a group of armed people-smugglers were prepared to go to
So say the BBC an institution which deliberately blurs the line between migrant and refugee.

Unless people smugglers outnumber migrants by about 100 to 1, those who were throwing bricks at the police didn't look like people smugglers.

The UN, not to be confused with those 'unelected officials in Brussels making decisions about Britain' lot, has produced a report condemning the 'Brexit' campaign in the UK.

Of course, some correspondents here will view that as irrelevant, just like the murder of Jo Cox, preferring to brag about the world's most commonly used language based on spurious arithmetic, as if that were of some importance to the whole question of Britain's future.

There are times when I really question the desirability of unfettered free speech.

a refugee is a type of migrant - so its not the BBC blurring anything, its a clear definition.

Ah yes, the UN an organisation that can't agree on anything except that it is incapable of reaching a decision.

Jo Cox's murder, as tragic as it was had absolutely nothing at all to do with BREXIT. There is no tangible link between the two events. BREXIT's influence on Jo Cox's death is a big fat zero. I know you want the two to be connected, but you will just have to get over the disappointment, there is no link. There never was a link and there never will be a link.

a nice thing about fantasies is that one can reject any facts that don't agree with it. One moment the BBC can be an undisputable source of evidence that migrants are violent; then when it turns out that's not what they said, one can dismiss the BBC as biased. Way to go soldier, cling to that fantasy.

Wouldn't you just welcome that!

Finally realisation that your lunatic left-wing, highly unpopular viewpoint is being ignored. The only way people like you will ever have any influence is under a system where any opposing viewpoint is gagged. Thankfully, that will never happen because you are not clever enough to make it so.

I think the left wing is dominated by underachievers and people with aspirations which go way beyond their ability.

Really? no wonder you voted for Brexit, unable to connect cause and effect, obviously.

You are doing it again, putting your own spin on the words of others, and demonstrating the very things you complain about, contempt for other people's points of view.

The European Union
You have side stepped my question:

Why the UK when they have been offered places to stay elsewhere?

As for why you haven't sent bureaucrats to treat each person and say "Yes" or "No" to whether they can migrate to Britain, well one day that is going to blow up when the people of Calais and France in general have had enough. 7,300 people fit on a ferry, we should just send them all to Dover and let you sort out the mess there.

This stems back to that idiot Merkel and the opening of borders to Germany coupled with an open invitation to migration free for all. That policy had disaster written all over it from day one. She soon had a dose of reality and closed the borders again. Not such a good idea.

That incredibly stupid policy has now manifested itself in France. It's a German and French situation to sort out, but I doubt they will do so.

They are a French problem.
They are in France because France did not guard its borders.
They are in fact Human beings, displaced by wars in which our own hands are not free of blood.
Not simply a nuisance to greedy people who simply want to wash their hands of them.
We are part of Europe despite you wishing otherwise and partially at least responsible for the plight of these people.

It was Merkel's opening of the borders that frightened so many people when they realised all incomers would become German citizens and have FoM.
That dithering fool Cameron could have got on with sorting out our non contributory benefits system, but he utterly failed to realise that immigration was the main problem. Even 2 weeks before the referendum his own people were telling him that immigration was the big problem, but he preferred to concentrate on the economy, mainly because for the past 40 years, elections had been won on the money in people's wallets and purses.
The failure of the EU to have a proper border policy, meant that places like Italy and Greece could allow migrants to land, knowing that they would not be their problem as the migrants moved North.
The EU could have been reformed, but it was as if the early, secretive planning of its founders was carved in stone and had to be blindly followed. Unable to react to events as they occurred it stumbled along, sowing the seeds of its own downfall.
Bit like Marxism when you think about it.

Regardless of your thoughts on this, their plight is one nobody should simply say is someone else's problem.
You won't solve this problem by wishing it away, the French could quite easily say it is ours and pass them on.
Then what will we do?
Your last suggestion was simply to resort to a crime against humanity, wasn't it?
