they all make noises to get on TV. He is a bit like Gavin Williamson, they talk up their brexit credentials in the hope that the brexiters in their party will trust them. The more they talk of the EU as German Nazi or USSR, the less likely anyone will trust them.
only Philip Hammond does not play much to the gallery.
Indeed and it makes him more credible (relatively)

He has done it again in the Daily Mail

Jeremy Hunt compares the EU to the SOVIET UNION and says if it becomes a 'prison' by denying the UK a fair Brexit deal other countries will 'want to escape' and it will crumble
  • Jeremy Hunt likened the EU to Soviet prison in excoriating attack during speech
  • The Foreign Secretary urged the bloc to compromise or risk its own destruction
  • Combative stance in speech at Tory conference will fuel leadership speculation
How can these politicians manage to get so far away from the truth? other countries in the EU are more solidly committed to it than ever!

'I am not allowed not to agree': Julie Girling on being a remain Tory MEP
Jennifer Rankin in Brussels
Expelled, MEP reveals deeper estrangement from a party that has mostly embraced Brexit
She's not alone.

“I’ve been a member of the party for more than 40 years, and for 38 of those years the party has been pro-Europe. It’s had its difficulties,” she says, recalling John Major’s battles with the Maastricht rebels and David Cameron’s decision to pull out of the mainstream centre-right bloc in the European parliament, the EEP. “Then overnight Mrs May decided ‘we are all Brexiteers now’ and that just is a place I just can’t go.”

A good Brexit is like Narnia, Middle Earth, Shanrgi-La, Neverland. Can never exist. And when you read about these places, somehow people aren't burdened with making money and the daily grind.

UK manufacturers cut spending plans as Brexit fears rise
Only one-third of companies expecting to increase their investments, says report

British manufacturers are pulling back sharply on investment plans due to mounting uncertainty over Brexit and growing fears of a global trade war, a report has warned.

Just one-third of companies said they planned to increase their investment in plant and machinery – a record low in the fifth annual survey carried out by the EEF manufacturers’ body and Santander Bank. Investment by small companies was particularly squeezed, with three-quarters saying they were having to mothball spending plans in the coming two years.

“These figures put into sharp focus the widening gap between the investment manufacturers know they need to make … and the hurdles they face in getting those decisions over the line,” said the EEF’s chief economist, Lee Hopley. The EEF said its members had “sharply applied the brakes” to investment plans.

We'll obviously be in just the right position to springboard our export drive to the rest of the world with new factories and machinery, etc.

Obviously they have unbounded faith in this Government's ability to make trade deals!
Or rather not!

English councils brace for biggest government cuts since 2010 despite 'unprecedented' budget pressures
Main source of government funding for local authorities set to be slashed by 36 per cent next year, warn councils

Every day in every way the future's looking bleaker, and yet there are some deluded folk who imagine their greatest fear is a labour government.
It isn't, it's simply the obvious and inescapable fact of life

We need to be members of the EU to have any future worthy of the name.
Then we can play games with who governs the country.

Time for some reassuring words

Jacob Rees-Mogg says most people in the uk will be able to offset any adverse negative brexit effects with their savings, shares, bonds, inheritance and work expenses.

looks like we have a problem
Hang on though, weren't we promised a "Brexit Bonus"? that was what enticed people to vote for it!

Actually it looks more like we will be trying to sell them the machinery and contents of our old ones as scrap metal.
Brexit Bonus there folks!

The idiot clearly doesn't realise how much this shows him as being out of touch. The majority of people in the UK don't have those, they just have debt and liabilities in many forms.

Being as ignorant as this about the population's circumstances means he is unfitted to represent constituents in parliament.

Now let's see; as far back as I can remember, the tories were all for being a member of the post-war new Europe……right up until the EU decided to crack down on tax avoidance and evasion!

Suddenly, the tories, the mega-rich in the UK and all the right-wing groups associated with the tories don't want to be part of that European alliance any more. Well, what a coincidence! Of course, the mugs who believe all the nonsense and all the lies disseminated by the propaganda machinery on behalf of the elite, think that it will somehow benefit them for the UK to be led out of the EU. Let's just look back briefly at some of the statements put out by tory leaders over the years.

The attached video clip, and I hope it works ok for those who have complained in the past that they can't see my attached clips properly, seems to demonstrate there was always enormous tory support for a united Europe over several decades so I guess the tories must have had a change of mind…….Mmmm! What if millions of ordinary folk would like to do exactly that about the referendum result and the whole 'Brexit' fiasco?
