From the Independent..
"
David Davis has for months been sidelined during Brexit talks in Brussels: the outgoing Brexit secretary had only visited the European Union’s defacto capital twice this year, as well as meeting Commission chief negotiator Michel Barnier once in London.

With day-to-day talks done by officials and led by Downing Street since December last year, meetings between the “principals” – Mr Barnier and Mr Davis – were noticeably absent from most negotiating schedules published all through 2018.
While Mr Davis’s departure is likely to have huge ramifications in Westminster and the Conservative Party, as effectively chief-negotiator-in-name-only it is unlikely to be felt strongly in the EU capital in a direct way, or to affect day-to-day negotiations."

The implication is that like Farage he has been dodging work and still getting paid?
Strange that the press failed to report his poor atttendance before!

Lest we forget what he promised

The best laid plans of mice and lying Brexiteers.....

David Davis has quit.
I reckon May should put Gove in Dexeu..
He should have quit before the end of the Chequers meeting.

Adding: TM just might have a bit more style than we have given credit for. I like this threat.

"Davis is said to have been “livid” about hostile briefing from senior figures in Downing Street about how Brexiters would be treated at Chequers – including suggestions they would be given the number of a local taxi firm if they chose to resign."

That's why he didn't immediately resign!
He wanted a last ride in a Ministerial Car.
And the reason he hasn't been sacked for incompetence?
He didn't have a job to be sacked from, did he? he was just a book end. (Fox being the other one)

he does not want to take any responsibility for brexit and he is not alone.
More hard brexiteers will follow his flight.

Considering he was the blighter that wrote the original bill for the referendum that's a bit rich!

The irony of the situation is that May is actually trying to get a deal that the Brexiteer camapigners wanted, indeed promised, at the time of the Referendum and the dupes who voted for Brexit seem, like the main culprits in this drama to have totally forgotten that they are in danger of getting exactly what was desired and promised!

Now they want a deal that will be the equivalent of being
"Rogered with a Rag man's rusty trumpet"
Because the main culprits have aimed their easily diverted attention onto hard Brexit, not for the voter's benefit, but for their own nefarious purposes.

Being fooled twice discredits the intelligence of the Brexit voters, and their memory of events is deplorable.

"You can fool some of the people all of the time
And all of the people some of the time"

And Brexit supporters with even the most unlikely con tricks that shouldn't fool a ten year old, any time , any where.

Because they cannot accept the embarassing fact they have been misled, put their trust in rogues, and don't really understand the issues they will face.

But to be fair the Government has shown even less understanding or even interest than the voters.
In fact we don't have a government do we? we have a Shambles.

I'm intrigued though unsurprised by the latest lies and propaganda news carried by the major tory misinformation providers BBC and mainstream press.

Just as with previous claims accusing the Russians, with no evidence, this latest invention, claiming that police are treating the matter as a murder inquiry, is simply too ridiculous for words.

With little hope of any further royal diversions between now and March, the propaganda machinery needs to rely on crumbs to keep people's minds off 'Brexit'. To that end, the World Cup and the fake news suggesting a murder has been committed in Amesbury will me milked for all it's worth.

Anyone with even the most rudimentary knowledge of the criminal justice system will understand that the chances of a murder conviction against anyone accused of murdering the lady in Amesbury are simply ridiculous. They may well have allocated the kind of police resources that would be made available to a murder investigation but those additional officers would be better deployed on traffic duties.

I disagree.
Brexit is real since the triggering of A50.
We are already excluded from a lot of EU policy meetings, the European Medicines Agency is relocating to Amsterdam etc.
Although there is some possibility that A50 could be cancelled, I won't hold my breath for it. The only game in town to to settle the divorce bill, spend a couple of years in transition while asking ourselves a straightforward question: how would we vote in EURef2?
Sorry Woosh.
BREXIt has not yet happened. UK subjects are still entitled to go through the blue EU channel reserved for EU citizens, the medicines board is still at Canary Wharf. They can still enjoy the rights and privileges of the EU.
. We have previously discussed the status of A50.

So now that he has solved the housing crisis and effectively put an end to rough sleeping in shop doorways, Dominic Raab has been rewarded with the plum post of 'Brexit' Minister.......oh, hang on!

that reminds me of M Thatcher promoting John Major to Foreign Secretary, then Chancellor of the Exchequer before he became leader of the conservatives.
I reckon even Raab can do a better job than lazy DD.
BTW, I watched Andrea Leadsom defending soft brexit on Daily Politics!!!

I am watching BBC News, it's of course all about brexit.
latest angle of attack on TM by a brexiteer on TV: TM commits a fraud on the electorate because 'brexit is brexit'.
A lit late, don't you think?

Tommie, who is normally very quick off the mark regarding companies opening branch offices in NI , somehow missed this one... . Athlone is a town situated in the geographical centre of Ireland...
Belfast-headquartered IT company Neueda Technologies is create 200 jobs over four years with the establishment of a software engineering hub in Athlone, Co Westmeath.

The company will undertake software development services for global telecommunications and financial services clients at their new offices on the Dublin Road, Athlone.

More than 70 members of staff have been hired already with that number expected to grow to more than 80 by the end of the year.

The new roles are almost exclusively for technology specialists including experienced software developers, cloud engineers and agile practitioners.

Neueda Technologies founder David Bole said he was impressed with the standard of personnel applying for roles in the midlands.

“After considering several international locations for our new engineering hub, we opted for Athlone in January 2018 and I can say that we wish we had set up here years ago,” he said.

Ahem! I don`t think so, they`ve already invested in N. Ireland first if you check

"A tech firm has unveiled plans to invest £12million in 165 new jobs.

Neueda, described as a “Belfast based digital transformation company”, says they also plan the “talent development of its already 200 strong team of software engineers, IT consultants and data analysts”.

The jobs boost is being backed by Invest NI. CEO Alastair Hamilton said the firm is almost doubling its workforce in Belfast.

Surely there isn't such an offence as
"Unintentional accidental murder by Person or persons unknown by Fly tipping"?

it can be terrorism related, a murder enquiry is automatic.
