Brexit, for once some facts.

From the Independent
"
When Tory MPs say it’s not in the ‘national interest’ to release the Brexit impact assessment, they mean it's not in their interests
Steve Baker makes the debating point that his opponents wish to reverse Brexit. Well, so what if they do? It is a legitimate cause in a democratic society
One of the smaller but more frightening details about the leaked Government Brexit analysis is that the Brexit minister Steve Baker said he had never seen it. What is more, his Secretary of State, David Davis, had not seen it until the day before the leak.

This is despite the fact that the impact assessment was supposed to be a “cross-departmental exercise” and was prepared by officials across Whitehall for the Department for Exiting the European Union (DExEU). Just for a change it appears that the public knows as much, indeed more, about what will happen to the country after Brexit than the ministers who are so lamentably piloting the UK out of its relationship with the EU.

This latest revelation comes on top of Mr Davis’s cheerful renunciation to MPs of his previously rosy view of the UK’s prospects outside the EU – from before he was a minister – and his backtracking on whether impact assessments had in fact been made. He said they had been made in “excruciating” detail. Then he said they were simply non-existent, and now that one has been prepared Mr Davis has not had the opportunity to review it."

Sorry but this is utterly Bizarre, that even our supposedly well advised negotiation team have no idea of what the consequences of Brexit mean.

It was bad enough when no one knew, but CRIMINAL that they have not been made party to a known situation, by their own Party and Government apparatus.

The Conservative Party : Bloody Traitors to the Nation, the lot of them.

The European Union
So much for the "British Version of Human Rights"
As experienced in the colonies for centuries. Don't get me wrong, French colonies, Dutch colonies, Belgian colonies etc. have nothing to be proud of either.

Paul Mason has a view on the leader of the tory party which I agree with as, if she is stabbed in the back by her loyal followers in her party, what would be the point of replacing her with any of the other senior figures in that party?

Because the prospect of life after 'Brexit' now look entirely different from the rosy picture presented by tory liars, the country desperately needs another opportunity to vote out these incompetents and allow Corbyn the opportunity to address all the major issues based on policies designed to improve the lot of the many instead of simply enhancing the wealth expansion of the few at the expense of the many.

"The leaked study suggests that in three different scenarios the UK economy would grow more slowly than it would if it stayed in the European Union

Theresa May earlier told reporters en route to China, where she is on a trade mission, that making the analysis public before it was fully completed would be "wrong".

"a confidential reading room can be provided for other MPs and peers a copy of this analysis to view the material on a confidential basis. This will happen only when arrangements can be made."...

If the government report says whatever the outcome post Brexit we will be worse off, then why are we continuing with Brexit.???
Am watching the series the Crown, must say I think it is very well acted...in the 70's the Queen was persuaded, for the survival of the monarchy,to be more open and modern,....it seems the Tories havent learnt anything in 50 years.

No,they say immediately if the house votes for it...they surely would win such a vote. Seems to me Theresa May is resigned to whatever way Brexit takes her and our country, but she wont offer any direction or leadership.the ship hasnt got a rudder.!!!

Have they all gone completely bonkers?
From the BBC
"
"A leak is a very serious matter and I deplore leaks when documents are revealed whose contents compromise the national interest, or are loaded with party political or other significance," he said.

"But an objective analysis of the economic consequences of various options which the government is at the moment looking at and considering, it's impossible to see how that compromises the national interest.

The Elephant in the room that compromises the National interest isn't this report.

Its BREXIT!
Truly we are a Nation of Donkeys led by Hyenas

The 'big society', transparency, 'we're all in it together'...............nope, the electorate, it seems, cannot be trusted to absorb our message correctly until the material has been doctored to the point where it bears no relation to the truth redacted into a presentation so heavily imbued with verisimilitude that the author wouldn't even recognise it!

Wholly unacceptable!

The same "experts" who have had to double their growth forecasts from
7 months ago are now saying they can forecast years ahead.
17 years ahead in one case..
Have they taken into account Labour winning the next election.

the most astonishing thing about all this, is that the Government clings to the nonsensical notion that even before they had "Experts" check on the economic outcome of Brexit there was some great "State Secret" involved that had to be concealed from the EU negotiators as it would "Endanger our bargaining position"

This is based on the premise that the EU are even more incompetent than our Government are and don't know very well, in fact better than we ever will the damage that will be done to both us and them

Crass stupidity to attempt to bluff when it is painfully obvious that our position is quite frankly that of Oliver asking Mr Bumble "Please sir, can I have some more"

I doubt that Labour, or any other party for that matter can make the "Lead Balloon" of Brexit Fly.

If I may go completely off topic, may I ask if anyone else has noticed something strange affecting their internet Data consumption?
Suddenly on Windows 10 it went sky high
This was 5th Dec to 4th January

And since I hadn't changed my pattern of use and never download Films or hour long programs I contacted the ISP, they suggested these were perhaps Windows updates.
But they still had the cheek to charge me a £10 surcharge for exceeding the Data limit for the month.
I had never used more than a third of my monthly allocation in the past over a period of years.
I smelled a Rat.

So I fired up my old Laptop, installed Linux Mint, and this was the result for the following month
5th January to 4th February.

On just one day (Jan 26th) I used Windows 10 instead on Linux mint, browsed and uploaded my daily image to Blipfoto and used 10 times as much Data as I did all other days using Linux.

The questions that come to mind are
  1. Is this simply a very poor indeed updating system Microsoft have imposed on us.
  2. Or are we Being used as an unwitting part of some sort of File Sharing "Torrent" network as "seeds" by Microsoft (or others?)
  3. Or perhaps as a Freebie resource for the fabled "Cloud" without us knowing?
At this point let me say that may be just a case of the old maxim.

"Just because you are paranoid it doesn't mean people aren't out to get you!"

Odd that even the ISP didn't know where all the Data was going.
Anyway when I come on the Net it will be via Linux, not Windows 10 from now on!
Your observations would be appreciated, apologies for being off topic.
