My front BPM has been sounding rough last couple of days and after trying all connections and thinking the ticking, clicking noise was similar to the problem in the Oxydrive thread went through the process of checking.
On deciding to remove the hub wheel and check inside for any issues I checked the bearing on the cover plate and found my problem, the sealed bearing rotates very coarsely and you can hear the worn bearings snagging.
I have ordered 2 6002RS sealed bearings as per the marked bafang fitted ones form the UK.
My main question not being an engineer is will the bearing be simple to drive out with a suitable tool and hammer and equally once the bearing is out can I simply insert the new the new one with a piece of wood and a swift blow with a rubber mallet with out casuing damage or will it need to pressed in.

Thank you Trex I have found some 22mm copper tube so will cut a short drift and see if that might work with a good bash to remove, will give the puller a miss.

I've changed a couple of bearings in Bafang hub-motors. They came out easily and were easy to tap in.

They were faulty because Bafang had put 2 shims behind them, which put a large sideways load on them when the side-plate was screwed down. Check the end-float on the axle.

my theory: they failed because the Chinese never put enough grease inside.

Job is jobbed, now runs sweet as a nut again. Bearing came out and went in very easy with a swift blow from my rubber mallet. Thanks guys.

Cheers, it's good to know these are available, I thought that the bearings on my rear hub had gone but it turns out the screws on the cover plate had came loose
