The link show a 29ner, but to my mind, that doesn't look ideal.

Looks a bit precarious... definitely not all the way in.

It looks to say 2.1 x 29 on the tyre.
My knobly nicks look to have a lot more meat on them as well.
Looking like a tour de Yorkshire around the bike shops..

Seller assures me max tyre width 2.75 inches (70mm) and will support 2 x 20KG bikes

Gives a measurement of 5.5cm tyre width on the advert and we found it a substantial piece of kit. Don't know whether that is wide enough or not for your bike?

What is the actual measurement? I know I am clutching at straws but seller is telling me 7 cms

Not sure which stand you are referring to. The stand that is said to be 7cm at posting #43 is a different one to the one we bought at #44. I have just measured mine and it's 5.3cm.

Been back into halfords and manager sorted me out. I was being too much of a pussy as bike needs to be more rigorously pushed into it.

Glad you are sorted out. Probably better off if it's a tight fit, it will secure the bike better and there will be less chance of dinting the cat

A bit of brute force is all that was needed. Highly delighted as this is exactly how I wanted it..
Just need the other bike back to complete my Hareem..

Bike repaired and back where it belongs...Halfords Rack works a treat and easily takes the 2 big wide tyred bikes, although I did need to ease the bars a bit.... Recommended if you want this sort of Storage/Parking

If you are still looking, check out these ... Steadyman racks....Ozzie guy who has thought up a great storage system for bikes.

I was going to buy them but managed to sort my problem by jiggling bits about If you pardon the expression lol.

Do they sell a two bike model ?

Looking for one for the inside of our caravan - we put the bikes inside when travelling etc

I have seen 2 bike ones on line but I don't know what they are like. The halfords one is tough enough to force the tyre gaps a bit wider for mtb tyres without breaking.
It should be easy to cut it down to 2 with a hack saw.
