emissions-free,

Sleep well and thanks for all your input. These forums are great for getting info on new products and ideas.

I have to admit that I have chosen to shy away from specially manufactured forks for the Brompton.

Regards

Jerry

Jerry or anyone who might know:
do you know the price of a set of Brompton forks and where I could get a set? Do all the brompton's use the same style fork? Please excuse my ignorance of the Brompton, I'll have to do a bit of research on them.

Jerry,
Thanks for your comments. I don't know everything about e bikes but I have devoted a lot of time and effort to them, have lots of related experience and I'll do my best to give my honest opinion and ideas. I believe that e bikes should be much more widespread and I'd prefer to be able to get more people on them and to do that the prices have to come down quite a bit IMO. I think it's better to make a reasonable profit for the work you have actually put into providing it, rather than price it at a point where you can maximise profits.

Hi Paul (emissions-free)

I just wondered if you're any further forward with regard to selling/supplying a kit here in the UK?

I'm interested in a hub motor for a 20" front wheel with a axle width of no-more than 80mm

Thanks

In that case your limited to a 80mm Tongxin or a 75mm Crystalite 209 Motor.

What bike is it ? You should be able to spread the forks to 100mm if they are steel.

Hi Jerry,

Tis me Stuart with the alloy forked Dahon Mu :)

Had the front wheel off, it was fitted the wrong way round  and found 80mm should be no-trouble for the forks
