Sorry to be so blatantly pushing the 48V Grace Easy at the moment, but I really think it's a good looking, understated, city bike. I am lucky enough to be getting a demo bike delivered to me next week, the Red Dot Design award winner 2012.

In the thread 'cooler designs' I said people like a bike to look like a bike and that change should be slow and gradual. That bike is what I meant, it looks like a modern version of a traditional style. Now! Where's the mudguards? ;)

Hi Jim, sorry couldn't afford the mudguards!

Also no fork suspension, looking forward to seeing how comfortable it is!

All the best

I was wondering about that.

No suspension fork, ally frame, narrowish tyres and Brooks saddle could add up to a real boneshaker.

Could well be Rob,

I have only tried one on a flat concrete surface so can`t really tell what it will be like off road.

I have a dummy bike without battery and loom, I was pleasantly surprised how well it rode as a non powered bike. I will let you know how it goes when powered with the extra weight of the battery.

All the best

David

Probably will be a bit harsh but if It rides anything like my minimalistic hybrid you'll be having too much fun to notice bumps.

Send your demo to me for a few weeks, I'll try it on our roads with lots of hills and even more potholes. ;) I'm not sure which is worse, the potholes or the hills.

I'll even post an honest appraisal with some punctuation and everything. ;)
