The law that says Bank Holidays must be wet was ignored here and we had a beautiful day yesterday. The headwind coming back home (west) along Stanegate did convince me that the conventional wisdom to do the Hadrian's Wall Route from west to east is sound, though! A bit of assistance into a 15mph headwind along extremely exposed road was more than welcome.
