It was abandoned on land belonging to the seller. He reported it to the police and announced it on-line on various forums, local newsagent's windows, faceache
pages etc. but had no response at all.
After many months of the bike taking up room in his garage he got permission from the police to sell it.
I reckon that isn't why Devron won't talk to me, in fact they have replied to my initial emails and promised to help if they could, but nothing heard since then. I hear from the various dealers that stock Devron electric bikes, both here in the UK and in Ireland, that they too cannot source Devron spares and most of them have asked me to let them know if I get any joy. Apparently, there is no UK agent for the brand anymore.
So, I may have bought a bit of a lemon, but with Devron bikes on sale in all these various dealers it looked like an established brand, which it was, but, it turns out, a crap one, with zero after sales service.
I am planning to take the rear rack/battery mounting apart soon. I shall take some images of it and post them here.
