Just got back to the UK from a great trip to Shanghai last night, one problem, my suitcase with the torque plates amongst other things didn't:(

I flew from Shanghai to Paris and my suitcase along with those of several other passengers was not transfered by Air France onto my connecting flight to Heathrow.

It is now in the UK and will be sent by courier when it has cleared customs later today.

Once it has arrived, I will contact everyone who has asked for the plates.

When I have satisfied the existing orders, I will update our website to show availability.

Now the bad news, unfortunately, I will have to increase the price from today for any future orders of torque plate sets, otherwise I would be selling at a loss.
The design belongs to ebikes.ca, and they are now requesting a royalty payment for each set sold. I have not finalised the price yet and it will not affect existing orders.

Just to clarify, although I have increased the price significantly the similar although not identical item purchased from ebikes.ca would cost $22 or £14 + shipping.

I think the price is fair to be honest. I'd doubt you'd get torque arms anywhere else at the same price and even fabricating new ones at a local engineering firm would cost a bit more.

So all round a bargin still I believe.

Also if it helps Justin out over at ebikes.ca then that to is also good. Least the cost isn't being swallowed up on none entities like shipping. I've viewed some of his presentations and found them interesting and informative.

Justin was also staying whilst I was their. He is one very clever young guy with lots of ideas, but I did manage to beat him at Ping Pong despite being twice his age:D
I didn't however attempt to ride his unicycle, he is quite an ace and was teaching Wai Won Ching's 8 year old daughter Norea to ride one.

Watch out for an electric unicycle which is a project Justin is working on:eek:

The good news is that the torque plates have now arrived so I will start trawling through the backlog of orders and contact everybody today before I fall asleep.

Sounds like a wonderful time was had by all. I envy your trip to China and ability to see the country from a non tourist perspective.

I have exchanged quite a few emails the last couple of years with people there re the bits and bobs I purchase and must admit I struggle to get a handle on how buisness works there. They seem to have completely different approaches to customers compared to the UK. I have found patience is essential.

Also I get the feeling that there is great competiveness between them all ?

Jerry

Just like to say thanks for the highly professional ordering and delivery of my torque arm.

Be under no illusion, this product is extremely high quality, fits my bike like a glove and looks like it would fit most bikes on the market.

You could sell these for double the price and people will still rip your arm :D off for one.

Just how traders should be
