Waiting in the bike shop this evening prior to setting out on the organised mtb ride out, the topic touched onto e-mtb's and how one of the lads had tried one yesterday. With that a girl that was also coming out for the ride, spoke up very indignantly that she would never ride alongside anyone on an e-mtb.

The lad that I ride with regularly was standing right behind her, and was now looking at me and grinning ear to ear. Reason being that he knew what she didn't, that my KTM Macina Lycan e-mtb was sitting outside the shop.

It took no words from her, when we all went outside and she saw it, and realised what she had said. It was a priceless moment, and yep, I made sure that I rode along side her.

This has given me an idea..
There are some quite witty members on here so I am sure we could come up with some really good one liners that we could all use from time to time..

Ive had a few people say to me that cheating and then i normally turn around and say to them how many miles a year do you do and normal
the response is i don't cycle and then i say i do more then you they
normally either walk away or just change the subject nothing nicer
then putting some one down in a polite way.

I usually say "I know i am trying to cheat another heart attach" that stops them.

I use a similar line, mentioning heart bypass and arthritis - and it usually shuts them up.
