I had guy who worked at a store assembling bikes tell me my Lafree handlebars were on backwards. That's cause I actually reversed or rotated (I forget which) them forward (readapting the control positions of course). Thanks for the report Paul. I agree completely about the handlebars and cannot understand those who put image before comfort. Straight bars are ergonomically wrong and always have been, and the Agattu's shaped bars, similar to the Lafree ones, are physically better for anything other than out and out speed cycling where dropped bars have an advantage..
Hi TonyClearly it could be, though the terrain could make a difference.
Important to note that was done just to empty the battery quickly, it's completely unnecessary to use continuous full power mode, since that just wastes power at all times other than when climbing a steep hill.
It's impossible to forecast the results for any one rider from another's experience though, so much depending on rider power, the cadence they use, the speed they ride at, and the nature of the route.
With e-bikes more than anything else, only an individual's experience really counts.

Thought it sounded mad.Unfortunately it sounds mad, I wish it was so simple (then we could calc it). Its all down to how much power the bike is using, and mostly that will always be down to the rider, the conditions, and the terrain.
E.g. a super-fit rider could get 100miles out of any ebikes battery, whereas someone very unfit and extremely overweight in a hilly area with a head wind in the rain with luggage would struggle to get the minimum range on any ebike on the market.

Thanks for this Essexman. A little web research found thisre the valves DONT BUY NEW TUBES!
I went into my lbs to buy 4 new inner tubes. While moaning about the woods valves, they kindly told me that i didnt need new tubes i just needed an adaptor, which they sold to me for some pennies. My lbs is a hidden gem.
Its a little brass thing that screws on the woods valve and turns it into a presta valve. I just keep it permanently on my bike. I'd suggest 50 cycles buy a bulk load and ship the bikes with them.
I've tried browsing through my blog review of the Agattuto see if theres a piccie of it, but its so small you cant see it.
Only the roughest of guides, since it omits all the variables I mentioned. These can double or halve a calculation in e-biking.It may sound simple, but if the agattu does 26miles on high with a 22 tooth rear spocket.
You just do the maths.
Example......
26 / 22 teeth = 1.18181818182.
1.18181818182 x 18 teeth = 21.2727272727.
So modding to an 18 tooth changes the range to 21 miles (Average)
Is that mad or does that do it.
See now if 50cycles had any brains they'd just supply every Kalkhoff with one of these. I know i phoned up 50cycles and asked how i to get air into the tyres. That had to get close to costing them 49p.-Thanks for this Essexman. A little web research found this
Noted. I'll pass that on to the workshop.See now if 50cycles had any brains they'd just supply every Kalkhoff with one of these. I know i phoned up 50cycles and asked how i to get air into the tyres. That had to get close to costing them 49p.-
Cheers John and Tim Glad to be of service, and presumably congratulations to Tim as well!I'll second that!!
