Sorry to hear that a fellow Brightonian is having so much trouble with his Bike, hope you will get satisfaction from the supplier, I did notice a advert on the local gumtree that may catch your interest(wife allowing) Electric Bike in West Sussex | Bikes, & Bicycles for Sale | Gumtree.comI hope so - I don't deal well with being ebike less ! Maybe I need another as backup (wife will kill me
You don't test a blade fuse with a battery. Instead, you look at it with your eyes and see if the little squiggle of wire between the two blades is still there. If that's not enough to confirm, you set your meter to beep, which is that little arrow-like symbol at 5 0'clock on your meter; test it by touching the two probes together to hear the beep; then put one probe each side of the fuse; if it beeps, the fuse is OK. Were the blade fuses inside the battery?Tested the fuses - 2 x 15a blade fuses by sticking current from 3.6v CR123 across it. As it read 3.3 volts on both fuses I'm guessing they are not blown and not the problem
Could a short in the led panel cause the BMS to pack up ?
That makes sense Kirstin. If you could only get it to a specialist for a thorough check to finally eliminate that battery from the equation. Is there no-one down on your section of the south coast willing to have a look?"the battery lead from the controller may loose ..."
I would have to give up at this point and get my money back. Then I would go look atGood to know ! Sure it will be fine when problem is resolved
Sadly , when I set the kit back up last night I immediately got the same issues as originally ie the panel LEDs flash very fast indeed an turning on/off makes no difference
I did not run the motor for fear of blowing up BMS again
8fun have asked for controller and led panel to test now
