Cable ties yes, but slack left on them. I did notice this morning there was come condensation under the glass. I guess this can't be good? I have placed it in a bag of rice and sealed it ip tight.

I've seen them and if I can't set a steel one then I will have to get one. If I can get a steel one then I will weld it to the Bafang chain wheel, then I will have a double ring changable with my fingers if ever required.

I've just reworked my 20" wheel folding bike to a 36v 500w Bafang 8fun. This came with a 46t chainring. On testing I was not able to peddle assist as I can't safely or comfortably peddle that fast. I have slow powerfull legs. I had the same problem when the bike was in its original form...

Hello Dave Thanks very much for getting back to me. Will I need to remove the gear wheel and brake asssy to dismantle the motor? You say its unlikely to be the gears, but the motor is running turning the wheel backwards but with no real resistance. I can't see how it could be anything else...

Hi Again I have removed the wheel now. 36 spoke 20" There are 5 light wires on a multi plug and 3 hevier individual wires on bullet connectors connecting the motor to the Ananda controller. This is the only number I can find on the motor HDB15NA12030319L Has this improved my options for repair?

It's sort of looking that way it would seem. Maybe if I can get a new set of motor gears fitted I might get another year out of it.

It's a fresh water canal boat. There is no physical signs of problems with the battery pack, just the performance. Before when new it would stay on 5 lights for ages, now after a few miles or less with pedal assistance it's down to 4.

Thanks. I am very attached to my money so don't want to waste it either. The failure was dramatic, last time I used it ti was fine. I recall it was a 10 mile ride on canal side tarmac surface and 100% peddle assist as I like to put some effort in. The a couple of days ago and about 6 weeks...

Funny you say that the battery is showing signs of decay. But surely this should have lasted more than a max of 700 miles?
