    Tonsheng TSDZ8 conversion kit.

Just been out for a quick 20 mile ride and experimented with pedalling effort. I am almost certain now that there are two steps of assistance from the torque sensor on this TDSZ8. Just turning the pedals slowly gives you a low level of assistance but as soon as you put some effort in, the...

    Tonsheng TSDZ8 conversion kit.

From my experience over one 25 mile ride was the more effort I put in, the more assistance I seemed to get from the motor. I am not sure how it's supposed to work but that is how it felt to me rewarding any extra effort put in. Is there an ebike setting on Strava to differentiate between ebikes...

    Tonsheng TSDZ8 conversion kit.

Just been out for my first ride after fitting this kit. Once I had realised that I had cable tied my derailleur cable to the frame (doh) it was like bringing a gun to a knife fight after taking a couple of lines of coke (or how I imagine that might feel). Eco mode just about overcomes the mass...

    Hailong mount plate compatibility.

How are people stopping the battery from wobbling and shaking about whilst riding especially off-road? Have you fitted rubber spacers between the battery mount and frame and/or added additional rivnuts or velcro straps. I would not be particularly happy having a 5 kilo battery held in by two 5mm...

PSWPOWER - DO NOT USE THEM

Good point, didn't think of that. Labour cut backs must mean HMRC no longer have supplies of packing tape!

PSWPOWER - DO NOT USE THEM

Check this out for **** packaging from PSW Power! This is how it arrived. Parcel force took a photo for their records. The contents could have easily fallen out but seem to be OK hopefully! You pays your money and you takes your chances.

    Tonsheng TSDZ8 conversion kit.

Had anyone done anything to help prevent water ingress particularly with the cable from the battery to the motor? Heat shrink, dielectric grease, silicone sealant? My kit arrived yesterday and I have different connectors on the battery and motor which means two cable joins to weatherproof...

Trying to get back into cycling but have lots of questions!

Finally pulled the trigger on a TSDZ8 kit and a battery from PSW power. Let's see what arrives and when. Gave the Zaskar a bath and the drive train a good clean, it was filthy. I have replaced the rear brake cable and given everything a good fettle. I even went out for couple of very brief...

Woosh starts shipping Tongsheng TSDZ8 with 250W label

Looks good, what speed and range are you running on the rear cassette? How do you find the chain line? Have you sorted a shift sensor out yet? Do any other displays work with this motor? Sorry for all the questions!

    Tonsheng TSDZ8 conversion kit.

Has anyone fitted this motor recently and if so how are you getting on with it? What controller and battery did you choose? Did you have any fitment issues or other teething issues?

Trying to get back into cycling but have lots of questions!

Game over sadly for the Voodoo. Tried a template in the BB and to get a 1mm clearance between the motor and chain stay leaves me with about an 8mm gap to fill with spacers which will give a shocking chain line. I don't think this will ever work properly! Plan B is a 90s GT Zasker from the back...

Trying to get back into cycling but have lots of questions!

Yes I am coming round to this as well. The torque sensor sound ideal and does away with need for the need for shift and brake sensors. Can you run a 11 speed cassette on these by either using a smaller chain ring or by not using the two largest rings on the cassette? Otherwise it's a new 9...

Trying to get back into cycling but have lots of questions!

Fo I have not decided I that i will yet but am just exploring options. I may well just settle for a 250W conversion. The bike wont be ridden on public roads. The legislation is there to stop 12 year olds riding ebikes at 35mph in urban areas and killing people. I am a bit more mature and...

Trying to get back into cycling but have lots of questions!

Yep, that's the one. I think I saw a template somewhere that you can download and cut out to check for possible fitment issues. Definitely, won't be buying anything blind. TBH after doing a bit more research, I am starting to go off the idea. Fitment issues aside, I would probably need to...

Trying to get back into cycling but have lots of questions!

It's a Voodoo Bokor and has what looks like a 20 spline Shimano type BB.

Trying to get back into cycling but have lots of questions!

Cheers for the reply. I will post some photos later. What's the story with PSW power as their website has that confusing AliExpress vibe about it? Do you need to select delivery from the UK warehouse to avoid customs charges? Some things like batteries only ship from Germany or china, so I...

Trying to get back into cycling but have lots of questions!

I am really keen to get back into cycling and seriously thinking that a DIY ebike conversion might be the solution but I am a complete noob. I currently own a Voodoo cycles hardtail bike with hydraulic disc brakes and a rockshox fork which I probably have ridden for no more than 15 hours in the...
