    Help identifying a motor clutch

Thanks for the suggestions but degreaser didn't seem to help there is play in the mechanism and when it wobbles it slips. I'm going to keep trying to find a replacement I think its a shengy motor, would contacting them directly be possible?

    Help identifying a motor clutch

As above, I have this motor here and the one way bearing is slipping. I've looked across Ali express and cannot find a new one. This has 31 tooth nylon gears and the measurements are in the photos Has anyone come across one of these before?

    Battery issues

Well I've finally found the time to look at the bms issues. I had 5 lg cells with simerlar specs and capacity to the existing cells in the elife battery pack. I've connected them up and so far the pack hasn't drained down at all. It's been sat at 41.6v all day with no drop as yet. I did...

    Battery issues

Yeah the 0v cells are in the scrap bin, I'll have to try and test both the bms

    Battery issues

I've recently acquired two faulty battery packs. One is a 10ah from a elife folding bike and the other is a vruzend kit. The elife battery 10s5p was from my mates missus bike. I built him a new pack the other day. When I tested the pack at the main battery terminals it measured 14.7v when I...

    Mxus xf08c Hall sensors

OK thanks. I did try setting p07 to 1 but it just maxes out the speedo. I get the most accurate speed reading with it set to 96, it's pretty accurate then compared to GPS. It still doesn't read though when the motor is off. I just wondered if it is ignoring the speed signal from the white...

    Mxus xf08c Hall sensors

Here is a list of parameters that can be adjusted with my display. Any ideas? P01: Backlight brightness, level 1 darkest, level 3 brightest; P02: mileage unit, 0: KM; 1: MILE; P03: Voltage level: 24V, 36V, 48V, 60V, 64V default 36V; P04: Dormancy time: 0, not dormancy; Other numbers are...

    Mxus xf08c Hall sensors

OK so I stripped the motor again. The only way I could get the hall sensors out was by removing the stator from the casing. The old hall sensors were in really tight. I couldn't make out the markings on the originals so I just bought a few ss41 hall sensors off ebay. All fitted and back...

    Mxus xf08c Hall sensors

OK thanks its all back together for now but I'll strip it down and try and dig them out next weekend. What sort of glue do people use. Will any high temp epoxy work OK? On the video I watched he used wax paper to stop the epoxy getting on the magnets is there any other material that I might...

    Mxus xf08c Hall sensors

OK so my hall sensors weren't working on this motor due to a damaged motors cable. I didn't have enough space to clear all the silicon and pull the cable through to re terminate it with the hall sensor pcb in situ. I de soldered the board ok but carelessly I managed to break a leg on one the...

    New build trek navigator

Well the bike is all together now. My partner is very happy with it. I decided to go with the bag for the battery and controller as I didn't have the right controller for the battery box I had but I think it looks fine. I got to the bottom of the issue with the hall sensors. I took the cover...

    New build trek navigator

The controller has the lcd 1 screen with it I don't think there is a setting to reduce the power. I suppose just using a lower pas level would be the same. At the moment though there seems to be a hall sensor problem with the motor. It runs fine on the brainpower controller with the s866...

    New build trek navigator

OK so I have the motor fitted now. I managed to get a mxus xf08c and installed the original 8 speed cassette for the bike and I fit in perfect without having to adjust the drop outs. I thinking about scrapping the idea of using the hailong box and using some other box to contain both the...

    New build trek navigator

I've picked the bike up now and got it home, it's mint condition barely had any use. I've got a hailong 65 cell battery case that I think I'm going to install on the rack. It fits perfect and slides on and off fine. I will have to buy one of the kt controllers designed to fit in the case...

    New build trek navigator

My original plan was to fit a front mount motor to spread the weight a little as the battery will be on the rack, I was only thinking about a rear motor because I could use the one I already had. I've got a giant twist express that's front drive and I like it but I know some people arnt too...

    New build trek navigator

It's already got a 13a controller and Lcd display that was new last year. If I was to go for a 17a kt controller at 36v do you have any motor recommendations would be nice if if Cound top out at around 20mph and it will e carrying around 11 stone

    New build trek navigator

That's a good point I could do that, I was going off memory when I posted this however just been out and checked and the Milan 2 I'm using for the parts only has a 6 speed freewheel but the bigger problem I have know is that the rear chain stays on the Milan 2 are 160mm apart I'm presuming the...

    New build trek navigator

So at the weekend I'll be picking up this lovely trek navigator to convert for my other half. I'm using her current power cycle Milan 2 as the doner for the electric parts. It has a upgraded 10s 4p battery that I built last year and a rear hub motor. At some point in the future I will buy a...

Connecting 3 wire speed sensor to brainpower controller

No the pas levels only seem to limit top speed not power output. The speed sensor made no difference apart from to give a speed reading all the time instead of just when pedelling

    My new bike

I've took some more photos today. The hub connectors are there as are the controller connectors. It looks like the torque sensor on this bike uses 3 wires and it's on the cassette side of the rear drop out. The controller looks like it only uses 5 wires for the sensors from the front hub and...
