It does add up! My tow bar was £350! But I look at it as an investment! The bottom line for bike racks - call your insurance company if you are concerned about certified racks but I bet your bottom dollar - if the rack doesn't mention ebikes - and something happens - you're stuffed! Z

The throttle DOESN'T work withou pedal input (otherwise it would be a moped). So I say again - what is the purpose of the throttle on a pedal assist ebike? Thanks in advance Z

You get what you pay for in Ebikes. Anything less than £1500 is not going to cut it. Less than £1000 and your starting to scrape the barrel. Less than £500 - junk, I'm afraid. Z

I have no need for a bell/horn on my Ebike, the damn brakes make enough noise when applied! New pads about 100 miles ago and both front and back brakes make a hell of a din when applied strongly. Any solutions? Ta Z

My brother just bought 2 x Batribke Gamma X's. 100Nm motor! OK - so I'm lost when it comes to the use of a throttle on this Ebike when it is a pedal assist ebike just like many others but it also allows the use of the throttle to ramp up the power. The bike is still limited to 15mph together...

Presumably if you build the bike to exceed 15.5mph, then you are going to tax. insure and MOT it too?
