    Pedelec free whisper just introduced

Still don't understand? IF....If they like the world of cycling then buy a pedelec - choose when to get assistance or not. But the whisper does absolutely nothing for your fitness whatsoever because you're buying it because it is pedelec free - no? Buying a whisper says - I don't want to cycle...

    Pedelec free whisper just introduced

https://www.pedelecs.co.uk/wisper-announce-dvsa-approved-full-throttle-models/ What is the point of these? Why would anyone spend £1000 or more on a bike that doesn't need pedalling? A 2nd hand moped for £200 would be far better - no? What are the benefits of "cycling" around in one of these -...

    Helmet noise

If you cup your hands in front of your ear, the noise lessens by atleast 75%. Might be an inventor out there who can fit the front half of ear defenders to a cycle helmet!!!:)

    North Wales

Sustrans 5 is a great route. I live near Prestatyn and can cycle almost the entire length of the north welsh coast without cycling on main roads and it's right next to the sea, Great coffee stops too. I meet up with some around conwy but would love to meet others in the flintshire area. Ebike...

    Cyclist Cop Dies

Another tragedy in the bike world. I learned a long ago that using an A road or a busy B road is tant amount to taking your life into your hands. No matter how careful you are, or how well equipped - there are too many dangerous drivers out there and it is only a matter of time before you...

Ebikes and exercise goals ? Really ?

I live in a hilly area. My village is @ 450'amsl. I'm past 60 and using any excuse to NOT use my unassisted bike! The Ebike changed all that. In the beginning (about 3 months of riding), I noticed I wasn't working up too much of a sweat. So I invested in a heart monitor and an App from Decathlon...

    New Cassette needed?

I've done 3000miles in 2 years on my KahlKoff 5b. 7the gear keeps dropping out. Shop says it needs a new cassette and chain: £125. Surely it just needs rigging doesn't it, just adjust the deraileur and bob 's your uncle? Any takers?

    Worn cassette and chain

Took my Kahlkoff endeavour 5b in for its first service last week @ 1500miles. Everything was as expected but they told me that I need to consider changing my 8 speed cassette together with the chain @ the next (2500m) service? They told me it has worn to within the 1% guidance limit??? I've...

Puncture on rear wheel on electric bikes!

Couldnt upturn the bike, it's bristling with fone holder / electric bell / gps data gauge. It would take ages to loosen them and turn them round! Couldn't fiddle with brakes - discs. Tyres need 85psi - told by many avid bikers that repairing with a patch is not clever and often fails at this...

Puncture on rear wheel on electric bikes!

It was bound to happen sooner or later...and today, in the middle of nowhere...it did. Back tyre flat. Never repaired a puncture on an Ebike before and due to the gadgets and sticky out bits on my handlebars, I couldn't tip the bike upside down. So I;m left with a 27Kg bike and no main stand...

    Kalkhoff unreliability

Nothing wrong with the bike....it's the Impulse motor. Simply make sure the KalKhoff you get ...has a Bosch motor.

Help! Bit of maintenance advice for an amateur

That wheel is so buckled!! Beyond repair and easier to replace it as a whole. I would guestimate atleast £100-£200 parts and then labour on top. Bike's a write off- claim it off your household insurance!

    length of lockdown?

Most of us will get it at some stage...it's inevitable (unless you are a "survivalist" like some of our dramatic american cousins! It is estimated that 80% of brits will contract it before a vaccine is administered in around 12 months time. Why am I sure about this....ask yourself this: How on...
