    New battery recommendations

It’s been ok. I’m only a light user and there’s been minor issues, the cranks seized a couple of years ago. I managed it get it going again and expected to have to replace it in the short but it's still going. But I’m now getting less than 10miles from the battery. It’s definitely been good...

Help! Building up from Swytch kit

So the controller from woosh worked with the switch hub motor? I’m looking for options as we’re on our 3rd handle bar bracket in 3 yrs.

    GSMoon middrive

Thanks, I picked up a bafang 44t to check. It does fit, turns out the issue was a cracked chain. Back in service, although I suspect after 7 years of service it might not last too much longer! It’s been a great motor! Thanks again for the help.

    GSMoon middrive

So no spares available, does anyone know if the bafand chain ring fits a GSMoon. I guess there won't be many around anymore!

Wow, that’s great I assumed it would be too old. Will email, thanks.

    GSMoon middrive

My (now quite old) GSM mid drive (from woosh) needs a new chain ring. Does anyone know if the bbs01 chain ring would fit? The issue that has developed is the chain keeps jumping off. So I was going to replace the chain and ring ( and possibly the cassette).

Should we bail on the new Swytch conversion kit

This is the info they sent me the AIR (2.6Ah, 15km range, 90Wh) and the MAX (5Ah, 50km range, 180Wh.) Both motor wheels are 250W and 36V. I'm currently recieving terrible customer service and will probably request a refund by the end of the week!

Should we bail on the new Swytch conversion kit

Those images are really useful, thanks. I’m waiting for an eco kit to arrive for my son’s bike. But they’re messing me about with delivery dates. I was sold on the light weight motor but am starting to question the quality of the kit from what I’ve read!

Hub motor slow to start and cutting out

I've bought a very cheap front hub motor (250w 36V). It takes about 4 revolutions of the pedals before the motor kicks in and it is intermitantly stopping. I have tried with and without the brake cut out (to rule this out). I've moved the PAS closer (it's currently 2-3mm from the ring. The ring...

    Power cable

What do you put over the two cables? They would look neater with an outer cable in black?

Thanks, does 14 awg come as a 2 core wire? Would this be ok? https://www.screwfix.com/p/time-2192y-black-2-core-0-75mm-flexible-cable-10m-coil/150jy

    Power cable

I need to extend a power cable from the battery. Can anyone recommend what sort of cable I should get? It’s a 250w36V system. The controller is marked 17a. Thanks

    Cheap avoid or ok?

Thanks but I thought 350w wasn’t road legal? They don’t do a 250w version for 27.5” front or rear.
