    Rookie error? Decreased front sprocket

I may have committed a schoolboy error. I took my chain off to clean the other night and decided to clean my front sprocket/chainring area with a spray degreaser. Didn't put any lube on should I have? What problems could the degreaser have caused and how do i fix them? On my ride today didn't...

Wisper 705se shorter cranks & smaller chainring?

Well chainring and cranks fitted went on a ridiculously wet ride on Saturday and then battled with the wind on Sunday but the difference it has made is fantastic my partner is very pleased.

Wisper 705se shorter cranks & smaller chainring?

Hi David the 2 bolts I thought were rack adaptors are for the cranks and I'm going to fit tonight. However I didn't get the pannier rack adaptor so could you kindly arrange for one to be sent out please.

Wisper 705se shorter cranks & smaller chainring?

On closer inspection the 2 bolts are for the new cranks. So unfortunately the adaptor wasn't sent.

Wisper 705se shorter cranks & smaller chainring?

Big thanks to David at amps for sending me a chainring foc and some new cranks for a very reasonable price. Also got the rack adaptors but please forgive my stupidity there are just 2 bolts with black plastic flanges. What do i do with them? Hmmm answers on a postcard or this post would be...

    Purchased a 2018 Cube Reaction Race 500

Beautiful looking bike by the way. I went for an ebike for just the same reason. I could just about manage my commute but it was so tough that I just gave up. Now it's a pleasure (although still quite hard work). The dongle thing, I'm not going for one as whenever possible I try and keep above...

    Purchased a 2018 Cube Reaction Race 500

Hi yes 29er got the 65 x 700cc bluemels from spa cycles for £20 they fit just! Not much clearance so no good for very muddy stuff but great for a commute. I think the front one could do with being a bit longer still just to minimise bike cleaning.

Wisper 705se shorter cranks & smaller chainring?

That's a really great offer Gringo but I had a chat with David from Amps and he said he should be able to sort out a new chainring foc and some shorter cranks for a small fee. Just waiting to hear from him so will let you know if it gets sorted. Thanks

Wisper 705se shorter cranks & smaller chainring?

Hi thanks for sticking with this. Not easy counting those teeth but I think there are 44. The chainring is held on by 5 small bolts/screws to a spider.

Wisper 705se shorter cranks & smaller chainring?

Thanks for your reply. Sorry that's confused me though. I prob didn't word it well. I thought be getting a smaller chainring it would make all the gears easier and ideally move down a couple. So that instead of currently topping out in 5th she would be using 7th and therefore at the other end it...

Wisper 705se shorter cranks & smaller chainring?

Fair enough I'll ask at Halfords when it goes for the 6 week check up. By the way has anyone had an issue with momentary motor cut out uphill anywhere between 6 and 10mph?

Wisper 705se shorter cranks & smaller chainring?

Hi My partner is enjoying the new wisper but found after doing a few rides together that she very rarely gets out of 5th and is struggling up some hills in 1st. So thinking of a smaller chainring maybe 36t and shorter cranks maybe 150mm ish as she is only 5 3 and not long of leg. I've Googled...

New bike, Bosch CX 500wh for £1600

People may say I'm crazy but I've fitted some full length sks bluemels 65mm from spa cycles about £20 and to make matters worse added some Raw mudflap extenders!

    Wisper 705se pannier rack adaptor

Hi My partner has a new wisper 705se and is loving it, commuting every day. We got a side clip on pannier but it won't fit due to the battery. I think she might prefer a top bag or even full pannier option though. Is there an adaptor to enable a click fit system. Cheers

Commuter bike Wisper 905 Torque or Oxygen MTB.....probably

You may be right but I think the commute will be enough for me for a while. The route is quite a long way round but it's about 90% cyclepaths or dirt trails and it's just so enjoyable being out in the countryside. That's the main reason for getting a pedelec so that I can be out there more...
