Is it a good idea to buy an extra battery (assuming one is available/affordable!) when purchasing an e-bike, given the apparent difficulty of finding replacements futher down the line? If so, would it be best practise to alternate the usage of the two batteries or keep one, unused, in stock? Do...

After a bit a searching around it seems as though the Cambridge Hybrid is a near identical bike to the Synergie City (discontinued?). They must all come from the same factory in China. "A to B" makes mention of this, but only the Powacycles get a decent review.

Even 'A to B' aren't entirely sure, they categorise machines as "pedelecs", "hybrids" or "e-bikes" each with varying degrees of legality. The Cambridge gets a mention in their listings, but they don't categorise it under any of the above. It's all a bit grey... think I'll forget the electric...

Interesting how there is much uncertainty over the regulations, and I wonder who of us will have the misfortune to be on the receiving end of the test case that clears up such legislative incompetence! On the electricbikesales website they suggest the law is currently thus: · average...

Synergie appear to have a bike, the "Mistral", for the same price as the aforementioned Powacycles, only this time with 36V Lithium batteries, anyone know anything of this machine? Does the difference in voltage signify much? The Twist was "only" 24V yet it's hill-climbing ability is often lauded...

Perusing the PowaCycle website recently I noticed that the "Cambridge" has a 200W motor and the "Salisbury" has a 180W motor. What would this mean in terms of performance and hill-climbing assistance between the two bikes? Other than styling, everything else about the bikes appears to be the same...
