Just as a matter of interest have you checked there is no drag from the back brake? I found it a really hard thing to set up on the Viking it either didn't work or created drag if not adjusted properly.

I agree i have had a Bosch alp for a year now and it has been excellent, I have also had a Wisper 905 for 30 months and that too has been excellent.

Very true I managed to get mine for just over £1200 however they are cheaper at Cycle Republic.

I have had both, the Crossfire was at best annoying and at worse dangerous, where as the Crossfuse is a gem and a totally different bike. This is down to the Bosch alp motor and not so much Carrera so if possible I would check out other makes with the Bosch motor or even possibly look at a hub...
