    Bottom bracket creaking noise-help

Okay I have removed the bottom bracket and it is a sealed unit. Turning the shaft by hand it feels pretty bad. The square ended shaft measures about 140mm long and the body about 83mm. Anybody got an idea where I can source one. Thanks Alan

    Bottom bracket creaking noise-help

Thanks Bob for your reply. This is good news. I was hoping the bearings just need tightened or cleaned. In the past I have cleaned bearings in Petrol to remove dirt. I have a tin of grease which is a good repellent of water. Hopefully the removal tools will arrive in the next few days and I can...

    Bottom bracket creaking noise-help

Good idea John. I once had a squeaking saddle. Every time I went up a hill I had this squeak. Only found it when I changed the saddle. I do think this is the bottom bracket though. I have checked the handlebars and can't find anything wrong there. With the bike sitting stationery and on the...

    Bottom bracket creaking noise-help

Thanks for the reply Pedalo and Blew It. I will go and see if the handlebars etc are suspect although I have noticed that if I back pedal by hand it feels a bit "Notchy" and sounds very gritty. I wondered if maybe the bottom bracket just needs tightening. The bike has done about two thousand...

    Bottom bracket creaking noise-help

I am having problems with the bottom bracket (Crank) on my Synergie Cruiser. It makes creaking and clicking noises especially when under load. I have tried lubricating it but it is still the same. I suspect water has got in and rusted the bearings. There is a bit of movement in the shaft...

    transporting ebike by car?

Hi timidtom We use a Thule carrier for our two Synergy bikes. It is really strong and carries them no problem. You need a towbar ball to attach it to. A bit pricey but it certainly does what it says on the tin. Towequipe - UK's best value towbar store - THULE EuroPower Electric Bike Towball...

Advice on towbar cycle carriers please.

Hi cogs We use the Thule Europower 916 for our ebikes. Takes both bikes with batteries, panniers etc no problem. Very strong carrier and the bikes are locked onto it as well. The carrier locks onto the towball which is great but no good for towing the caravan at the same time. Bikes go in the...

    Honest advice please Synergie Breeze

Hi Old Timer. We have two Synergie Cruisers which have identical spec to the Breeze except they are not step through frame. We have had ours for over a year and had no problems. Synergie bikes are well made except for the lights which are useless and represent good value for money. Think they...

    Lifecycle City Sport

All this is great stuff but I think we are heading way off on a tangent here. Can we google map back on track! What about a Lifecycle City Sport. Anybody got one? Does anyone know where I can source a battery for my Synergie Cruiser 36v 10ah kettle type plug fitting?

    Lifecycle City Sport

Any idea where I can source a battery? It would need to have kettle plug fitting and be 36v. Probably just carry it in panniers.

    Lifecycle City Sport

Hi Bob Very interesting reading. You are correct our circumstances are different from yours. We only need a bike for leisure although it has to tackle a few steep hills and cope with a 40 ish mile run. Our bikes at the moment will only do about 30 mile on the flat. The second battery does...

    Lifecycle City Sport

You are right Eddie we are caravanners and weight is an issue. We both have Synergie Cruisers (That's me the overweight one and her indoors) The problem at the moment is that when we go out for a day's cycle run which is fairly regularly I like to tackle the steep hills whereas her indoors walks...

    Lifecycle City Sport

Good advice Eddieo Had a look on E Bike and I am impressed. I will probably go down the Wisper route but I am intrigued with Lifecycle. Anybody got one? Saw them on Electric Bike World website. The Lifecycle Alpine Sport for example has a 37v 16ah battery and they say it does 90 mile on one...

    Lifecycle City Sport

Hi Guys. I am looking to change my bike. I have kind of narrowed the search to two makes/models. One is the Wisper 905SE City S with suspension disk brakes and full mudguards. I have also been looking at a Lifecycle City Sport which is very similar with 37v 14ah battery, suspension and disk...
