To buy a rivnut tool or make one is just a preference. I've got loads of tools I've only used once like a watch strap link remover. Sometimes it's fun to spend half hour masking something Vs buying.

@PC2017 I fitted the top two rivnuts. Had to file off the bottom one as protruded a bit fouling the bottom of the battery fitting plate. Not sure why original bottle mount was so low

Just put a bolt in rivnut to make water tight
