    Bike frame lock

Frame lock you need to cut twice to allow wheel to turn. It's also difficult to get access with a grinder. I think a cheap £10 bike alarm as well helps. Probably take 1 min to cut lock twice and get a hammer on the bike alarm. That's probably the best your going to do unless you get something...

    Bike frame lock

I park in security controlled enclosure mostly at work. I'd getaway with not locking but feel better with big cable lock which I leave on bike stand. I only ever lock bike away from work with £5 cable lock outside local shops on the way home, and I only ever park where I can see bike. Couple of...

    Bike frame lock

I don't have the two holes for a frame lock but would like to fit one. With a plugin cable it's a perfect solution for me. Can't find anyone online that's fitted rivnuts or self tapping screws to secure lock. Not sure if I want to drill frame to fit one?

Getting on and off a bike

I put back my suspension post back on bike which I was originally struggling with, plus my crossbar is about 75mm below seat height so drop post would not work for me. Great bit of kit though.

Getting on and off a bike

This thread plus what I've been watching on YouTube has got me sorted. Things are alot better riding and getting on and off.. :D I've been getting off the saddle when I stop during rides. Raise the peddle ready to start off to thrust forward, then sit back on saddle to ride. Leaning bike to the...

Getting on and off a bike

Well I've been trying some different methods. Placing my left foot out wide and leaning bike over, then lifting right leg over to get on or off, while holding rear brake on seems to work well for me...

Getting on and off a bike

Dropper seat post. I'll look that up.

Getting on and off a bike

I'm not sure if it's age and I don't bend so well, or the rear rack with bags I've fitted catching my leg, but I'm struggling a bit to get on and off my mountain bike. I don't think it's helps I have a horizontal crossbar though. Next bike I buy could do with being a step through as that looks...

    Raise my handlebar

Stem is 150mm so short. I'll buy a goose neck at 220mm I think. Keep the handlebars. That will be higher and closer. Thanks all

    Raise my handlebar

22.2mm stem. It's stamped on. I adjusting to the maximum height today. Really need them closer rather than higher. I find I'm leaning forward too much. Original bars were chrome and I sprayed black but they seem to have a long reach

    Raise my handlebar

I need to raise the handlebars on my mountain bike. Well I'm thinking up and closer to me. Any advice please... They are as high as possible now. I was thinking of a raised bent set of handlebars? I plan to move the display to the centre as it's to the left side at the moment. That plays on some...

    Riding in the rain footwear

Well I've fitted old unused foam insert and been wearing wellies for last 3 hours. Been on a bike ride with my son and all good. £15 well spent. Can't say the same for the bacon bap and coffee X2 in town for £19.90. Was not nice.

    Box panniers. Maybe make some

Challenge pannier bags from Argos. They are ok. Cheap at £15. Not sure how bags attach with sliding clip so pulled off the clip and tried on. See below.. Side bag. Strapped on an old tool bag as my plastic box was too difficult to fit. Can be done but not now so I'll stick with bag...

    Riding in the rain footwear

I'll report on how it works out. I bought a size smaller as fitted nice vs flopping about. I'll be peddling not walking. Be interesting to find out if it works for me

    Riding in the rain footwear

I'm about 20 mins ride. Small section through woods so puddles and mud. Got a unexpected slide going last week which got my heart going through the muddy bit. Crocs though. Don't your feet get cold?

    Riding in the rain footwear

I've got locker at work ( several tbh but don't let on). I've actually got access to showers and a drying room for wet stuff. Watching the bike commuter videos on YouTube, I can't see what other are doing to Keep feet dry. I guess they swap out shoes and socks at work. I know some like myself...

    Bike frame lock

I spotted this bike lock in The Range today. Fix to frame type. I can't decide if it's any good tbh? Can't lock bike to something, although will stop bike being ridden off.
