    What do we think?

HI Artstu. Could I ask why? My BS 10 is an illegal crank drive. Why would it be a liability? Cheers

    What do we think?

Thank you d8veh,that is just the sort of information I was looking for. I currently have a BS10 ,would this crank drive be considerably more powerful than that for climbing? Also I noticed that in the advert headline it says "48V 12Ah Li-ion Battery" but in the technical specs in the main body...

    What's your average speed ?

@Artstu, interesting re bike computers being more accurate, my readout on the Bs10 is always optimistic in both distance and mph/av mph compared to strava and endomondo which are both within a nb of each other, although iam sure i read something on the net that the kalkhoff/Bosch were renowned...

    What's your average speed ?

My average is 17.76 mph over 1346.5 miles since last September, only 16569 ft climbed as my courses are fairly flat. I noticed with interest when working the above out, since I started training using a HRM at the beginning of February my average speed has increased to 19.2 mph with an average hr...

    Derestricted Haibike Review For Cyclists

I managed 40.3 miles last weekend on 1 400 wh battery first 20 on tour (L2) and second 20 on sport (L3) averaged 16.3 mph overall, only 816 ft of climbing as my course is reasonably flatish and for the first time this year no wind to speak of.

    Derestricted Haibike Review For Cyclists

Hi Robb, nice write up. Could I ask has your bike got the 300 or 400 wh battery as your range showing in sport and turbo seem quite low, my Kalkhoff bs10 (350w) shows 31 in turbo (although i managed to flatten it in 23 in a test yesterday) and high 30's in sport, i wonder if this has anything to...

    Kalkhoff 2014 e-bikes

Right , battery was hot off the charger showing a range in turbo (L4) of 31 miles. I managed 23.4 miles (gps) until completely flat, average speed 22mph ,436 ft climbing so not very hilly at all. There was lots of stop start, traffic lights etc. and I really tried hard ,av heart rate 151 and...

    Kalkhoff 2014 e-bikes

Hi Ecoboost, I agree with the points made by 103alex and d8veh, I have a Kalkhoff bs10 bought last September and have covered just over 1100 miles since then. re 103alex comments on range, I have been doing some tests and last weekend managed to scrape 40.4 miles out of a charge with setting in...

A week with the BH sport plus in Lanzarote

I have just returned from a week cycling in the sunshine(bliss) in Lanzarote and hired the BH sport plus for the week and thought I would share my impressions. As I like crank drive bikes, my bike at home being a BS10 I jumped at the chance of using the sport plus for the week as I have been...
