    Brexit, for once some facts.

I don't think he has to go... Its a strong request he attends. Its already considered a ticking off but as someone else has stated, if he has actually broken the law... Its a criminal matter.

    Laugh of the Day

I was once approaching a chap ambling along quite a narrow path. I prefer to say "excuse me",so did so. He totally ignored me so I slowed to his pace and followed to approaching gate. As we went through he told me I should get a bell. I said I had one but prefer when close to say "excuse me" and...

    Laugh of the Day

I want the sounding of screeching tyres as a warning. Amazing how many folk ignore bell but jump quick with sound of locked back wheel on gravel paths..

    Wind Turbines

We must be looking at different data. One I found (which I, ll have a look for) reckoned 2%..(But not 2% of expected, 2% of UK requirement) We must be talking different parameter as most wind has ever supplied is15% of total used.

And another story on French theme... Second hand cars are mega expensive in France, so we bought a Renault at home, got Matriculation documents (, needed to bring a French car back to France), had it inspected, signed there were no outstanding debts etc and applied for new (French),number at the...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

When we came to sell a piece of land (in France) we approached 2 estate agents. (my phone won't accept French word). One wanted 9% for selling, other wanted flat rate of 6000 euro. We chose the cheaper, who found a buyer... but then refused to handle sale. Told us other estate agent would have...

    Wind Turbines

Yep, I saw a scheme where they were buying up old Lithium batteries no longer fit for transport. (sub 80%,) but since renewable energy investment has dropped by 57% last year (43 %) previous and there is still the commitment for further turbines I can't see there been any money left for battery...

    Wind Turbines

That was 2017 flecc... Have a look for 2018...so far 2%..Your halo would be rather dim if dependant on wind this year... Pretty much same throughout Europe too. Leucate has had worse year on record wind wise (and rain) Times there its been windy its been too windy... for sailing or turbines...

    Wind Turbines

Noticed recent performance of UK wind turbines was shocking but not shocking much. Hovering around 2% of our countries needs at moment. (,not sure but I think it needs to be 15% plus to be viable) Yes, we woz conned.

Again, good point OG but I dont agree with you. And you have no right at all to rubbish my opinion. You seem incapable of offering an opinion without insulting mine. I respect your opinion, you might even be right. Personally think the EU is using all its cash as a massive PR stunt to gain...

Think we are both at cross purposes. France has a much better economy than 15 years ago. Probably I said about Pigs of Europe but if I did include France it was by mistake. (The basket cases (your word not mine) have for quite a while been looked on as Portugal, Italy, Greece and Spain. Not...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Good question. I see the EU has feeding that corruption. It certainly did in Catalonia, agreed not intentionally. It was similar in both Spain and Greece. Massive amounts of cash are put out on offer. I think it's buying the rich and powerful and the greedy middle class. The ones who hold sway...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

When did I say France was due to fail. It's stronger than ever. I can only comment on how I find things. I found systematic corruption in France (and Spain, Greece) Our local Mayor and immobilier are both serving time as we speak. The incumbent organisation was marginally better. (The Mayor and...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Much of my attacks on EU about corruption and poor care of underpriviluged is in defence of being called racist, xenophobic etc. You can't really compare the two stances .

I, m not clever enough to work out whether this is a veiled attack or defence of Tom. Please enlighten me flecc. I don't think any of us fit Tom's classifications. Putting people into groups says more about the person doing so than the alleged group itself. Tom is the only poster on here I, d...
